I'm in the process of trying to work with Beckett on trying to get some of the "unrecognized" but "official" cards list in their checklist. I don't want to go crazy, but I've listed the top cards I'd like listed below. Anyone else have any suggestions? Obviously all of the Broder cards will never be listed, along with most of the unlicensed magazine cards, but I'd like to at least get some of the cards listed where there isn't really a reason for them to be excluded.

Cool idea about updating Beckett. Someone's got to stay on top of them for our favorite player! Not sure about the pencil though. That kind of opens up a can of worms with collectibles that I don't know where it would end. Besides, our personal checklists are better than Beckett's any day of the week. Much more thorough and, well, just more interesting!

Larry, I definitely agree with you on the pencil (I don't believe the Starting Lineups should be on their either), but they already have the first series pencil listed, they might as well have both of them in order to make it complete. If they didn't already have one listed, I definitely would not have included it. Our personal checklists are definitely much more "interesting" than Beckett's, but I still wouldn't mind seeing a few of these added

Brad, are the tickets you have the same ones that Ken has?
I was looking at my newly acquired Star Home Run Promo and noticed there is a "stripe" down the card that is missing the glossy coating. Is this normal? I'm not pissed about it as I don't think I was duped by seller or anything, and it appears to be a factory misprint or whatever.

Guy that I bought some promos from found the other one he sold that I wanted. He'll be sending them out today. He asked if I or anyone I knee needed Star cards. If you do let me know and I'll forward his info.

Right on Scott! We don't have anything official, but we're starting out at my momma's house, so I'll send you hers.
Hope everybody is doing well. We're planning on moving at the end of the month, so it's kinda crunch time. We won't have much room to take stuff the way we're doing it (we're leaving all the furniture and stuff behind, and only taking essentials) so it might be tough to convince a certain someone that the Rickeys are essential. But I am going to try to take them with me. I mean... To Arkansas, so that I can hopefully work on those trades someday... not like, take them with me. I know, we all think about it all the time... people say "you can't take those material things with you" and you think Well, if I have them buried with me.... Anyway, yeah, hopefully the house will sell soon and we'll come back and rent a uhaul and bring the rest of the stuff out. There will be a couple trips, because my wife has to go out to do some training, so hopefully we'll get enough stuff out there that we'll have enough room to bring some cards.

Brian, are you by chance thinking of the 1991 Silver promo? I don't think I've ever heard of a 1990 Silver Promo or Set, only the 1991.
Assuming that the above doesn't exist, I still need the following two. They've been on eBay recently, I just haven't been willing to pay what they were asking:

I submitted on the 1988, and we're close. My initial offer on the All-Star was turned down, and I think you may have gotten it after that. They don't come up quite so often, and I don't believe there's one listed now.

NWA... starting out in Bella Vista, probably end up somewhere near Bentonville. Although I'm cheering for Eureka Springs! But I guess there aren't many jobs around there.... I'm a little nervous about getting a job, but I'm sure it will be all good. The Creator will provide. When I worked at Anthem insurance, I had to go through a temp agency, and it was a great experience. They have the same temp agency out there, and I have such a sparkling record with them (sure I kinda cheated, but what they will see is I had one job for 6 months and got hired on full time; complete success! It was actually Anthem cheating, finding ways to not give their employees benefits) so I think I should be able to do that rather easily. It's nerve-racking! I'm cleaning up my office here, and it's pretty sad...

That's certainly a beautiful part of the state. I'm more of a flatland kinda guy but I enjoy going to Eureka Springs and Hog Springs every now and then. Good luck with everything and if you ever need any info regarding anything in the Delta part of the state I'll be happy to help. Maybe you can give ghost tours at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs...now THAT would be a cool job
