Hilarious, I was watching the highlights and saw the great game. I asked myself, I wonder if someone will bump up that thread.....

One hell of a game today, that is for sure. Should have been TWO bombs, the double was 90% up the wall.

You knew i'd have to bump this.

Montero is terrible against righties,,,,,except for one of the best in the game.

Montero just hit his THIRD career HR off Jered Weaver. Two today. Average up to .272 on the season.

He was ON EVERYTHING today. Just hit a piss missile off of Frieri that was caught by Trout. It was SMOKED.

I fully expect as the weather turns warmer in Seattle that it will help him, but the fact of the matter is, Adrian Beltre was a great hitter for years in LA, He is now a GREAT hitter in Texas. And he was a terrible terrible hitter for 4 years in Seattle. That ballpark KILLS power hitters.

I disagree. He had one great year for the dodgers.
According to baseball-reference.com:

Adrian Beltre as a dodger- per 162 games averaged: 25 hrs 86 rbis .274 BA
Adrian Beltre as a mariner- per 162 games averaged: 24 hrs 90 rbis .266 BA

So, what are the chances that a guy like me who purchased Montero cards at high prices and has yet to sell them will see a profit?

didnt live up to the hype but still will be a solid major leaguer for 10 years or so

Yes, in terms of *hobby popularity* it seems he'll wind u p being just that. It'll be extraordinarily difficult for him to amount to something more now that he's fallen off the hype bandwagon.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this.

Have his prices dropped a lot. Was about a year ago his peak?
I wonder if Wes still has his monster stash. I think he was going to keep buying if prices dropped.
