Just curious, but is it fact bg stated he would not do anymore rose stuff? This seems to be the focal point of the op, so I am just curious as I can not recall...

Pete Rose fans get paid. Nice way for collectors to get a cert auto on the cheap. Look at all the products you pay 3 or 4 times more and your lucky to pull a couple $1 jersey cards.
But no let's all have a pity party and bash Leaf for offering such nice value in a box, because Pete Rose has signed too many cards. Blah Blah Blah. Props to Leaf for giving value to collectors.

Yes because being told one thing and having the exact opposite happen is excellent. Props to leaf for giving value? When this release will cut the value of previous release.. That was a one time thing. At least call it what it is. A liquidation of stock!

As a buyer would you want to buy my red /10 now or after the flood gates open?

I would love to have a chance to get an affordable certified Rose auto myself. This may be the best way for me (and others like me) to get one now.

Never before have I actually wanted a particular brand to fail, but I have literally grown to hate Leaf/Razor/whatever it's called this week. Can't say any of this surprises me, however.

BG came on here, hyped his product three years ago, then killed the value by coming out with Razor Metal after his Signature Series debut.

Then, he stupidly sold all of the parallels via a Dutch Auction for some unknown reason.

Then, he copied Donruss' design on Leaf Valiant.

Then, he somehow managed to lose track of a ton of product and he seems unsure as to how one seller has it.

Then, he killed (well, will kill) the value of the Pete Rose product by releasing another one?

And in a few months, he's coming out with, what? Three draft products was it?

Here's a guy who cries about how much he cares about everybody here because he is a collector himself, but he clearly does not. I don't understand why some people even buy these products anymore.

These were from wax.. That I paid $60 each for because it was a one time thing.. I'm literally swearing off leaf for good. He could have destroyed the stickers at national!

I pity anyone who buys his draft products after viewing the history. Nice summary, by the way.

You can get on card Rose autos for $20 - $30. That seems affordable to me.

60,000 sticker autos (the number my shop owner told me) should allow for very price reasonable rose cards for the next 30 years. Not to mention the non leaf stuff rose signs for anyone with a buck.

It's nice to know that there is a company out there looking out for their customers!! Happy prospecting..

It sucks that he is going back on his word but he has to do what is best for business. The Rose product was very popular even though his autos are every where. I dont see this additional product making that big of an impact on his previous product.

I don't think anyone would take issue had he not made the statement. I didn't buy as much as many did but I did buy based on the statement of limited availability. Had I known sticker autos were coming down the line I would have waited.

I'm disappointed because I have been a detractor and I spent my money on something to acquire a pc piece.. Now I feel I could have acquired the boxes cheaper had I waited. Or picked up singles at a lower price point.

Business is business and he has to do what's best but alienating previous customers is never best.

Sorry but this is a legitimate question....

I purchased quite a bit of the Leaf Pete Rose product based on that this was going to be the only product, no Leaf Metal Rose etc......
I was a little upset when BG put a Pete Rose in his gift pack from the 12 Vegas Industry Summit but I accepted it as maybe BG had leftover on card autos and this wasn't really that much of a big deal.
But this product with sticker autos in every blaster box will definately screw up the value of the previous Rose cards
After all the Leaf/Razor products that I purchased over the past years this is probably the last straw for me to purchase any more of his stuff...
I am really disappointed with this latest cash grab Brian:(

Cash grab??? Are you kidding me???

Seriously, we are making little to no money on this.. It is a value oriented item designed to expose the brand to the masses at retail... BG

First Andrew.. I'm sorry if I derailed your thread
You're right about Topps which is why I buy very little of, but Leaf told us if I'm not mistaken that it was going to be the only rose product made.

Is there any odds posted as to the memorabilia cards?

This set is not even remotely close to competition for the old product..
No on card... No inscription... No game used.. Rare memorabilia redemptions...bg

I said no metal or parallel Rose sets.. In response to Jeff's wise ass comment making fun of razor bb metal vs. signature..

Brian, I don't think a majority of people have issue's with you doing a set like this. They have issues with you going back on your word that Rose was a one and done. For the record I do not know that is what you said, that is what everybody is saying.

Jeff is a word twister (as most lawyers are)..

He was complaining about metal bb cloning and destroying signature by (razor product)..

He was being a smart ass insinuating I'd do the same with rose..

I stated we would not be doing a parallel new improved version of the same product..

In fact, this isn't even a hobby product.. It is a retail item which we are letting direct accounts order as a courtesy..

Any hints? How much is a Rose Blaster?

Much more popular player than rose (and I've never made a set of the person so Jeff will not have anything to complain about)... Details late September...

Rose blaster with 10 foil packs and 1 autograph are 29.99 at Walmart and target.. Should hit stores 1st week september..
