Man that is sweet and I thought about going after it but just could confirm or tell if it was the real thing. I know most of the fakes/alterations were done with just the jersey version but people then started to fake/alter the prime pieces especially if the original piece in it was not that attractive. Man still a nice Vlad and now wish i would have went after it :lol:. Again awsome pick up.

Yea that Vlad patch is questionable. The giant expos logo is inconsistent with other patches from the jumbo run, including the smaller patches in the duals, triples, quads, ect. I've only seen a small handful of genuine patches from the set that fill the entire window with no jersey and are all logo (usually being the Chicago "CUBS" logo)

Here are examples of some genuine Vlad jumbos, and even the black 1/1 does not have a giant logo patch:

Yes its sad, Iv had to let go of a lot of my logo patches due to just being unsure :|. In my early buying days i was very uneducated and really had no clue on fakes. you gotta realize that in the early memorbilia game not all companies put "Prime or Patch" on the card to indicate what was supposed to be in the card so i just figured they had to cut up those nice logos and put them somewhere. Needless to say i have had to dispose of many logo piece due to being dupped. I have gone along ways since then and do my best to do my own research as well as ask fellow collector who may be more knowledgeable with a certian set or players. I am much more comfortable purchasing patch cards now .


On a side note i wish that Vlad 1/1 would come up for auction as I would love to add that to the collection!
