My favorite was when Loblaw went over to BO and posted about his fight with BG looking for supporters. Even there he got hammered.

I, like most took to the mob when this thread first appeared. Although I did not grab a pitchfork, I did wield a torch, not to burn anything but rather to keep things illuminated in a matter of speaking. Having said that, I find it quite amusing how some are trying to find anything they can grasp to in order to bring some negativity towards Brian & LEAF. I mean, who really thought Brian bought this card, sat at his desk and cleaned off the auto only to chicken scratch a new one on? Then pass it along to sell on eBay as a known fake? Now that every (logical) perrson here understands the absurity of that notion, we have to start questioning methods of form submissions? Really...? Whats next? What else is there we can pick him apart on with regards to this? It's a dead issue. MANY here have bought and tried to sell cards that have turned up fake/forged. Once found they are pulled and we move on. You can cling to any fanciful allegations you wish, but at the end of the day one has to listen to reason and just chalk this up to something that was more than likely out of Brians control. Or... you can keep on beating a drum of conspiracy for the fun of it.

This to me is just another situation where Brian should have just kept his mouth closed (As I have told him time and time again). A small "Obviously this was a mistake, thank you for pointing it out..." post would have been just fine. People who understand situations like this will, of course, understand it happens. And to thoes who will/can accept nothing but finding fault with him will do so regardless of what he says. Was it worthy of making a thread? Absolutely! But come on now, is it worthy of the spurred witch hunt after the fact? Not in any rational say...

It's times like this that I feel for BG, but also feel bad for the people who have nothing better to do than to challange every angle without any rational basis just to prolong and further their LEAF/BG bashing agenda. Is life really that sad? That bad? A faked auto on a card that comes out of the pack with an auto was listed by mistake, why do some feel the need to link him to the JFK murder now...?

What if I got caught selling the fake Harper auto? Would I be treated any different? I don't think so. I would be tarred and feathered, my Ebay account would be posted on the blocked list also. So what's the difference?

Thats absolutely not true. You are speculating an outcome for purpose to further a bias agenda. MANY times in the past a similar situation has happened to members here, and unless there was proof of personal involvment, they were always given the benefit of the doubt. As I assume you would too..

Dont waste your breath, but remember the blind hatred is worse than the blind followers because they say so. You are wrong they are right every time.

Ok, since you seem to have a handle on things.

If the BGS order came back, the card didnt meet the minimum grade and they dont look at the auto for authenticity, wtf does it prove?

Also, I'm far from a blind supporter of Leaf.

You had a lot more than 5 cards when I witnessed your sub. You are a pompous SOB going around making bets, a sign of a liar. Just think, a chick from Toronto busted your a$$ on this.

I just think you're taking this way over the top. I said that I generally don't fill out my submission forms either, but of course, if there are high end cards $400+ then I'll list all 100 of them. If Brian isn't at a show and is dropping off thousands of cards at the BGS facility, then why would he fill out BGS submission forms. Why call him a liar when all you've done is see what he does at a show?

He promptly and accurately defended himself? There's no question that people get run down here all of the time for shady eBay dealings. The difference is that - most of the time - they can't/won't defend themselves.

Might as well. BG and Leaf are based in Texas. I'm sure that is enough for Loblaw and All Stars to find him guilty of it.

...I heard that Dr. James Beckett lost a bet to Mr. Gray and he owns BGS now.

I don't believe I accused him of anything in this particular thread. I just asked if the same employee who was responsible for the previous debacle was responsible for not reviewing the rationale behind not grading this card.

Too many assumptions. I've bought altered cards before at a show and listed on Ebay. When notified that it was an altered card, I removed it. I don't think I'm on any blocked list.

You would be incorrect... Now, if I was submitting for someone else (since Im one of BGS' largest submitters), maybe?

This thread is just one giant fail.

People need to calm down. No one likes an e-thug. Instead of throwing around baseless accusations, why not get the facts first? The guy comes on and explains exactly what happened in a completely logical way that makes perfect sense, this thread should be over.

And BG, c'mon man. Part of owning a company is handling both positive and negative criticism. You go around threatening legal action for libel in every other thread you post in, but you seem to be forgetting that this is an internet message board, people are going to say things you disagree with. It makes you and your company look terrible when you threaten the very people who buy your products. If you can't be professional enough to take the high road, then just don't post anymore.

I agree.... but, calling me a forger?
NOT ever gonna be silent on bullXXXX statements like that.

Jumping to the conclusion that BG forged the signature really is not warranted given his history. He's been called on the carpet for many different business practices, sometimes fairly (selling purple refractors on the individual market from a product he had released that did not have them) and other times unfairly (griping about the release of the metalized version of Razor cards after the initial release of basic Razor as though a manufacturer should only be allowed to release one product). Regardless of these issues, I don't ever recall any credible allegation that he forged a signature or otherwise altered a card (i.e. trimming, using opened BGS/PSA cases, patch faking; etc). He's been heavily involved in the hobby for a lot of years and I would guess that there would have been legitimate concerns about his items over the years if he was engaged in those types of shenanigans. Given his history, he deserves the benefit of the doubt here.

I find it funny that so many people get worked up about ink on cardboard...

Oh wait, it's the principle of the thing, right? Silly me.

I am getting off my high horse now.
