Let's hope that INT rattles Kaepernick. I'm just glad the defense finally made a play. Pats could easily be down 31-3 right now.

I guess schmidtfan is going to ride Brady's dick since his boy Josh Freeman is looking like a skinny JaMarcus Russell?

Romo got his typical two Bad games out of the way Early this year.

And to OP, games like tonite's are exactly why the Internet was Invented!

Haha, I knew more than one person would come out of the woodwork with the loss. 49ers played great, no doubt. The Patriots were not the Patriots last night, I could blame in on the weather (it WAS a factor), but the 49ers defense showed up in the 1st half. Here's why the 49ers won - Kaepernick played his ass off and took advantage of the Pats mistakes.

But then the GOAT showed up and did what he usually does. There aren't too many QB's that would get that to be a tie game being down by 28 points with 22 minutes left to play.

I'm not worried at all if they match up in the Super Bowl. Brady showed the 49ers defense is not a problem. He figured them out. The Patriots won't turn it over 4 times again. And even if they do, I don't have faith that CK will have another game like he did.

HAHAHAHA LOVE IT!! It wasn't that they figured the D out..It was SF changed from man to Zone D...thats when Brady took advantage. The Niners themselves blew plenty of chances, so in actually, the game should've been a blowout since the better team IS clearly the Niners.

CK is that good..so try to spin it anyway you want.

it doesn't matter the 49ers changed defenses or not. the gave up 28 points in 12 minutes. how many other QB's are going to do that against the best defense in football who gives up, what, 10 points a game? If you don't want to give Brady credit, fine. But at least I'm realistic. the 49ers played great and capitalized on Pats sloppy play in the 1st half. Kaepernick played probably the game of his life and was cool under the late game pressure.

And CK is a remarkable ATHLETE, but let's wait until he plays more than 5 or 6 games before we say he's going to be doing what he did last night on a consistent basis.

i thought that the game could have gone either way last night if most of the breaks hadn't gone to the 49ers. I am a 49ers fan, but I can appreciate a team like the Patriots. Their offense was clearly superior. CK just took advantage of the short field that he got every time there was a turnover or a great return. He didn't sustain any long drives which is always a concern with him IMO.

Thank you for being a realist. Both teams played great (at different times). I enjoyed watching CK last night (my first time), he's one heck of an athlete and has a great arm. Hopefully he turns into something great b/c the NFL could use another great young QB. There's nothing wrong with having 4-5 great young QB's at one time. Makes the game better.

I'm also interested to see if these guys match up in the SB, if having Gronk back changes things.

I envy the 49ers defense, there really isn't a weak link on that side of your team.

This is like asking if the 49ers would be as good if Aldon Smith didn't play. When a team loses probably the best player in the league at his position it's a big problem. Gronk could have helped block the pass rush, or been more likely to catch a 4th and 2 than Danny Woodhead.

I think the thing we've learned is that the best team in the league changes week to week. It was the 49ers for a while, then they tied and lost to the Rams. Then it was Houston, who lost to the Pats. Then it was the Pats who beat the Texans. Now it's the 49ers again, but we could see Seattle become king of the hill next week.

So as the Patriots were scoring all those TD's because San Fran changed their scheme, why didn't they switch back? I hate that about NFL teams. They have this idea that once you get a lead you change from what's working to some sort of zone or prevent, which the other team takes advantage of. The Pats do that on offense where they'll dominate through the air and then get a lead so they'll become predictable and run it at the end of games.
