Best of luck with your dog, Taylor.:grouphug:

Thanks Dave!

I was able to see what the issue is. It's not pretty, but he'll be fine. It will more than likely require a trip to the vet's to get it sorted out though.

What was it?

He tried to release waste and it stuck in his hair and dried. It's bad, but not as bad as what I thought. He was moaning this morning so I thought he was in a lot of pain, but I had to leave for class.

When he doesn't greet me when I see him, I know something is up.

One of our dogs has this same issue if we don't have him groomed on a regular basis.
Glad it wasn't anything more serious!

Both dogs are a month past due on the haircuts. The old guy can't see at all because of the hair, and it's causing him to get uncomfortable.

Just a question, should I feed him the regular meal tonight? I don't really want to put more in if he can't get it out, but I don't want to deprive him of his nutrition either.

My wife and I "take care" of Louie's situation ourselves when it gets to that point. We don't like to see him that uncomfortable if we can do something about it.
If you're gong to wait and take him to a Vet, I'd limit the meal to the minimum.

We are going to see if we can take care of it tonight, but I don't think it's going to happen.
