Yup. I just posted this, ironically, on BO.

I was bidding on an auction that I believe phillyfan won, because I wasn't going to go any higher.
eBay.com Item Bid History

My high bid was $18.55; the 0 feedback bidder put in over 10 bids to get me where he wanted me, went over my bid, then retracted that one bid that was over mine.

I confronted the seller. His response?
"
We do not shill and I resent the accusation at the highest level.

However thank you for alerting us to this auction. The zero rated bidder is sansimeon25 and in looking at his bid history it appears someone is learning how to shill -- you can see lots of bid retractions with numerous sellers. We have added that user to our block bidder list and will attempt further to find out the identity of that user.

Cavalier Cards"

Shilling can only be done if you're the recipient and beneficiary. I can't shill for someone else's auctions, that's called running up a bid. So, while I can't say for sure, and certainly he could be framed by someone else, if it smells like a duck and walks like a duck . . .

Shilling is the reason I will always snipe and never set a high bid.

Sansimeon25 has no bids in the past 30 days. (And is only 3 days old today)
So - how can sansimeon25 be the shill account? Smells like lying to me.

Wow, good to know. I've bought a bunch of stuff from their store best offer and never had a bad experience. I'll have to stay away from their auctions.

no, caviler cards is a shop in virginia

Owner is an old timer with deep roots in the hobby. If there is shilling going on, I doubt he knows about it.

Most of the cards he sells is done on consignment for his customers. I wouldn't be surprised if some of his customers tossed bids on their own cards.

Yah I mean, ive only been in the online world of cards for half a year now. But 3 separate times I have bought cards from cavalier with no problems, one was even a blue refractor bgs 9.5 that had no shilling or problems at all

Consignment = License to shill the XXXX out of your own cards, Probstein has had documented cases and so has PWCC. There is a reason those two in particular get 20 to 40% over VCP for their cards.

I just posted this video to youtube that shows you what we see.
8/16/2013 5:11:09 PM - YouTube

We do not shill -- as many have mentioned we have sold to tens of thousands of customers with no issues whatsover. Someone is playing games -- it is not us.

1) When I sent you the message, I was the high bidder. I didn't bid any higher because of what I believed, and still believe to be, shill bidding. The fact that two people bid higher than I did is solely because I didn't bid because of the bidding history.

2) A smart shiller bids on other people's auctions other than their own. Good to see that our "Little Rock, AR" friend... heh... is learning how to do it the proper way so that you -- I mean, he, doesn't get caught. Thank you for the above thesis as to how to be a good shill bidder.

3) My cat did not bid on it, I am not a preacher, no one is in the hospital, and my dog nor my sister died. I have well over 6,000 feedback and pay for what I buy.

4) There was no reason for you to treat and respond to a customer as disrepectfully as you did. Proper customer service would have been to apologize for someone interfering in the auction, not to insult your customer as well as who/what they collect. I assume the next step would have been to call me up and use profanity.

5) I'm sorry that you resent any implication that you shill bid. It certainly appeared to me (and at least one other user who started a similar thread on FCB) and continues to appear tp me that you did. Your youtube video proves nothing other than the fact that you can retrieve messages that I have sent previously.

6) You assume that all of your customers are "chuckleheads". That's great customer service.

7) Interesting that you used my full name, as I did not provide that to you . . . .

Yes you do Thousands of transactions.
Yes, you Consign.
YES the auction I posted was 1 Bazillion percent Shilled! No doubt about it.

You need to be careful who you consign for. The shadiness, will in the end, be shinned on you since it's your auction.
