Morning fellas. Odd that Barry isn't here yet. Spent the weekend in the city, Christmas shopping. It was hell as the 2 yr old and baby had colds and were cranky as heck. My wife and I had talked about moving to the city, but every time we go I remember why I say no. I cannot stand being made to hurry, everywhere I go. I really enjoy the slowed down, "Mayberry" type of life I live in small town Kansas.

Did manage a visit to the card shop, this weekend. Picked up some supplies. Seriously considered buying the box of 06 Bowman Draft he had in there, for $80. That stuff has to be drying up. Better judgement prevailed though


Have a great day guys. Going to be a busy, next three weeks, here. Last two months of the year are the worst in our industry. Super busy.

I survived the Thanksgiving/Black Friday/weekend mess. I'm exhausted though. Thursday we head down to Cincinnati and Friday starts RedsFest!

Good to know that you survived the weekend. I'm sure it was pretty crazy at Target. I waited until Saturday to get my Black Friday deals. My mom wanted to get a little Christmas shopping done so we drove an hour over to the next town that actually has a few places to shop. The Walmart there still had a bunch of their $2-6 DVDs and that's all I ended up buying. Spent $6 at Walmart for 2 movies

My mom wanted to get a little Christmas shopping done so we drove an hour over to the next town that actually has a few places to shop. He called me a rude piece of XXXX and told me to go XXXX myself. I told him we were done and started to turn to walk off and he reached towards me. I told him he gets to touch me never. I called store security and he was quickly removed.

That's just one of my fantastic guest interactions. :lol:

Ive seen videos of the black friday craziness, and am extremely glad i did not participate in any of it this year. Im sorry you had to go thru any of it as an employee of the store, and commend you for not ripping into that guy.

Ive only gone to a couple of black fridays, mainly for good deals on stuff for the kids. But i will never, ever go to another one. Something just switched inside me this year. I think it was how stores were now opening Thanksgiving night this year. Its all a bunch of consumerism commercial crap, and it really turns my stomach. The holidays are about spending time with family, being thankful for what we have and our health. Not about risking being run over by a mob trying to get a tv for two hundred bucks.

Ive seen videos of the black friday craziness, and am extremely glad i did not participate in any of it this year. Im sorry you had to go thru any of it as an employee of the store, and commend you for not ripping into that guy.

Ive only gone to a couple of black fridays, mainly for good deals on stuff for the kids. But i will never, ever go to another one. Something just switched inside me this year. I appreciate it. I've worked 2 Black Fridays for Target now and I had worked some before when I managed at a Best Buy. Each year, it seems that people get worse.
