There are tons of guys from my childhood (Gregg Jefferies, Kevin Mitchell, etc.) that were good, but for some reason or another just didn't reach that next level of stardom.

Who, in your opinion, should have had an AMAZING career, but ended up no better than "above average"?

Personally, I think Bo Jackson and Strawberry were amazing albeit not necessarily HOF type careers.

Luke Hochevar after what I saw from him in minors. Still remember 11K in 7 1/3 innings performance against San Antonio
