Did anyone here pickup the 1998 Donruss Elite Prime Numbers Die Cut Chipper (/9) from awhile back? I was the runner up bidder and been kicking myself for not going higher. I have been waiting to see it pop up here - hopefully to a Chippper guy. That's one tough find.

These are so freaking nice-looking. I have a few Griffeys from this set (5-Star, Jersey Numbers) but have never seen one of his like this. Anyone know if it exists?
[h=3]Select Numbers[/h]Select Numbers was intended to be a 20-card insert set, serial-numbered to a player statistic. Like with the base cards and Jersey Number parallels, a limited number of Select Numbers made their way "out the backdoor;" however, the cards were NOT serial-numbered. Only 12 of the 20 cards from this set have surfaced on the secondary market.

Jhileman, you're building quite an impressive Jeter PC - very nice!

On a different note, what can you all tell me about the '97 Score Premier Club parallel? Rarity? RustyGreerFan? gracecollector?

Thanks! I have been collecting late 90's and early 2000's with serial numbers. The Score premier is a pretty rare parallel. I believe the print run is somewhere between 60-130. They don't come up ofter so I jumped at the chance to buy one.

2 super sweet cards arrived today. '98 Select Numbers has such a 90s look, I love it. According to what I've read it would have been #/291 if released (291Ks in 97). Be interested to know if anyone can ballpark how many made it out the fire escape.

Also, this isnt the '97 Finest Die-cut/Embossed Gold Refractor (just the regular refractor here), but there is one on eBay with a grotesque asking price. Anyone know est. print run on that rarest version?

I was lucky enough to pick up a Nomar Garciaparra 98 Select Numbers. Thanks to your info I'm assuming this card has a print run of 342 (1997 OBP% of .342), but who knows how many are out there. I've only seen a few online.

It's a great set to collect. I've been fortunate enough to obtain four cards from 98 Select. Here a few (scans credit: gradedflator):

I love this thread! I go away for a few years and this bad boy is still on the front page! I'm going to have to scan my latest Matt Williams inserts now.

I love the 98 Select. I have 3 different Jeters and would love more. Congrats on your newest pickup!

The guy selling the backdoored '99 Ultimate Victory non-numbered 1/1 parallels finally put the RJ up for auction and I snagged it for a fair price I thought, unless he has a dozen more copies. Nevertheless its rare and superfractor-like so I'm glad to own it.
