Added Puckett 1992 New Jersey to go along with 1992 Iowa, 1992 Virginia, 1993 Virginia.

I went searching for other variations on Worthpoint and Google images. I found 1992 Pennsylvania, which I don't think was previously listed here. Really, this thread is probably the best source of information on these bookmarks.

Has anyone compiled a list of these, yet? I was hoping to find one here, but it is still just scattered information. I checked my collection, and I have 3 Winfields from 1993 (NJ, VA and generic). I also have the (1998?) Expos & Blue Jays sets that I got in some lot of oversized oddballs.

Here is a good sized lot. Not sure of $2 per is a deal, but if someone wanted to take the time to view the scans and record what is there, may be a good source of info...or it could be a bunch of dupes already mentioned here. These don't appeal to me at all, so I was just checking to see what they might be selling for.

I was trying to compile a master list based on this thread, and searches on Worthpoint. I came across this Puckett on Worthpoint which is the Minnesota variation, but with no date on it, and I think that's different than others in this thread (1992, 1993) and perhaps a new one for the list.

In an effort to compile a comprehensive list, here's where I'm at (I personally have 6 of these 17).

These are bookmarks with visual confirmation on the internet as of 8.25.20, or in one case I personally know a collector who has it.

Please let me know if you have others we can add to the list.
Confirmed:
1992: IA, MN, NEA, NJ, OH, PA, VA
1993: KS, MN, NJ, PA, VA, WV
1994: VA
No Date: MN, NEA, VA

Referenced, but I don't have visuals at the moment, or don't have details on years/dates: NY-NEA, KS-NEA.

I did not include those that seem to be Canada-specific.

We can draw some pretty good conclusions about 1991/1994 based on who is in sets/teams, but for simplification, if it doesn't have a date, I listed it as No Date.

Matt, I love the idea of putting together a list of Pucketts from these releases. I have 7 of these variations for him so far and am always looking for more. Please reach out if you have doubles of the ones I don’t have already. Much Appreciated.

Am I the only player collector that does not view these as something that needs to belong in my collection? Obviously plenty of collectors do as seen in this thread. I just can't justify wanting an item that only contains a printed name and facsimile signature of my fav player.

I want to stress that I am not putting others down for collecting these.

I doubt you’re alone in that view. That’s one of the many reasons why collecting is fun for all. I was personally surprised to see so many different variations exist for these things. For the longest time, I thought the VA version I had was the only version there was. Now it’s just fun finding new ones considering how seldom they pop up for sale. They’re usually reasonably priced to boot. I haven’t even seen an example of most of the ones Matt listed above.

I did *not* realize that the 1994 Puckett was blue. I suspect based on Google searches that the Ohio one is the rarest, those don't seem to be prevelant.

I completely understand your thoughts. I think the reasons I'm fascinated by these is that I vividly remember receiving one of these in junior high (I got a different player and immediately traded for Puckett, of course). I also find it interesting that it's a very random collection of states that seem to have participated in this, and it's not like it's one region of the country.

I realized that I should probably exclude the MN bookmarks from this list. I think those are all Twins-specific, which is more like the Canadian ones, rather than being similar to the other state editions. Still, MN is relevant to this list for Puckett collectors.

I would be interested in any extra Dale Murphy bookmarks that anyone had. I have 3 variations but they seem to be the more common ones.

I have 14 MN Twins bookmarks from the MN Education Association. Is there a market for these? I'm cleaning out my box of momentos from my youth and came across them. Most are like new condition, one has writing and some scuff marks.

I was teaching back when these came out and called some of the states and they sent me 3-4 sets each, but I think I only acquired VA, NJ and MN. Wish I would have got more.

Bumping this up. Not including the Twins or Blue Jays/Expos sets, I am aware of 16 issues. I currently own 10 of the Clark's. If anyone can share any other info, LMK. Thanks - Ryan
