Here are the hobby odds for 2010 Bowman Draft. Pretty tough vs. last year but much better than Bowman Chrome this year. Keep in mind last year the set last year had only 165 cards so these odds are tougher plus 55 more cards in the rookie base set. You also had close to 14 autos per case...
I think everyone can agree the changes to the auto set are nice, but as someone posted above take a look at what EEE autos are going for for every player in the set and the average break is going to be a loss. EEEs were all first to hit the street so even though Chrome is king it is not like...
After the Bowman Chrome & Topps Chrome blood baths there will be a LOT less sellers busting in the 10+ case qty for Draft. It takes appx. 10+ cases to make 20 count lots so there may not be as many listings for 20 lots out of the gate. This should drive prices higher and mean you may need to...
The 25 autos they added were not the issue. The autos they added are actually better overall minus Strasburg than the players above. Stanton, Boesch, Castro, Nova, Matusz, Stubbs, Heisey, Santana, Colvin are all solid hits in this set.
What killed this is the five fold increase in...
I really can't complain. It seems you get either Red, Gold or Blue autos in each case. I was lucky to get a run of all red autos....
- 3 Strasburg Ref Auto
- 1 Strasburg Base Redemption Auto
- 1 Strasburg Base Auto
- Stanton Gold Auto (sold)
- Austin Jackson Gold Auto
- AROD 1/1 Chicle Plate...
This was no way a "3 box break." The listings on Ebay are what you are going to see from an average break since Topps doubled up on every crappy auto. An already tough break thanks to getting screwed on inserts will officially rival one of Upper Deck's worst efforts.
He will be a super SP based on early breaks. Guy busted 5 cases and any decent auto is a short print. I also bet Strasburg is a redemption since he was hurt when he was supposed to sign.
Great site. I agree that most of these autos will be about 25-30% higher than the prices you have listed. The Topps/Bowman name commands a huge premiums over any other card that might already have one of these guys featured.
These will still sell very well. I like these National Team autos better than the 18 USA autos in Bowman Chrome as most of these guys have already had solid seasons in college this year. Seems to be more movement on the high school players leading up to the draft.
Great article on the 2011 draft class. Looks like about half the players in the 2010 Topps Chrome USA set will be first round picks in the 2011 draft! Despite the higher print runs, this will add a ton of value to the break as guys like Barnes, Bradley, Cole, Gray, and Springer should all be...
