It is a tough thing to estimate. The way the base trout rookies are surging is crazy already. 2011 updates are now 800-1000 range and beckett projects that the update will be a $1000 card at its peak.
I dumped an aquino (sp?) Reds blue refractor auto for $10. I didn't think he was going...
Nice thread! This is tough, b/c early 90's was not viewed in particular good light aside from 92 bowman, 93 and 94 SP...
I was in undergrad then and didn't really collect as much. From baseball, in my present collection, it might just be the 94 Arod SP.
But I think my Kobe rookies or 98...
I hear ya as a buyer and seller. These fees have been absurd by ebay. Especially since they double dip on the PP transaction.
It is time for a replacement. A better option. A site where even deadbeat buyers are held accountable. (like can't have an account w/ a verified credit card...
I wish I still had my case of 2011 Topps Value Boxes. I was happy to double my money. I have one left from that case.
That Trout Orange though... man. I was in residency when that product came out, and didn't get back into collecting until after my fellowship in 2010/2011.
There are like 6 Targets in my area. I've visited them every single day. Only one had 2019 bowman stocked, and I took most of what they had, and then returned and they were gone. The other 5 Targets show no evidence of them even being stocked.
I'm stuck buying from vendors.
In the 32 years of collecting cards, I pulled my first superfractor. 2019 Bowman Mookie Betts 30th anniversary. Sold it yesterday in auction for $240.
I too hope those Bart cards drop, b/c they are massively overpriced. Luciano as well.
Same here... Some of the numbered refractors from asia end up cheaper than US versions, but I never considered them fake, since I'm predominantly a raw collector this can get dangerous or wasteful.
It's time for an alternative. Ebay could use some competition. It'll take time to grow, but once ebay bought out paypal, it made it very difficult as they are double dipping now.
I did see an ad for a new app that allows you to sell and ship. Different from offer up types.
Thanks. So is this a standard warning not to buy products from Asia? I know they have asian editions, and they do seem to have some nice cards. I don't buy older stuff from asia, mostly recent stuff.
I visit these Targets frequently and about half have moved them to the back of the store. Consistently it is the back wall, near the TV's on display... Each store has its own design, but they're there.
It's where I found all the Topps Chrome Update Megaboxes and packs. Got lucky with these...
