    September 2022-New Arrivals

Today's mail brought. . The Martin, I believe, is one of the factory signed cards. I also went to the Everett Mall Twin Oaks Show today. It was on a whim, as I had no previous plans to attend when I saw an ad late last week. My oldest son went back for college yesterday and my wife is working...

The cost of modern player autographs has gotten out of control

As I have been going back and trying to fill holes in my collection, I am finding it quite interesting that you can still get deceased hall of famers on certified cards for a reasonable price and if you want a Juan Soto or some other current star, expect to break the bank! I suspect it has to...

MrMopar's New Dodgers Autograph Thread (and other interesting items on a slow mailday)

I'll start with another Hembree, on ly because the other one is next post up... Unless he somehow gets a Dodger auto, I really want his Valaint auto for my place holder. I have always really liked that set ever since I was chasing the Puig. I also ended up winning a bunch of common autos and...

    September 2022-New Arrivals

I only own one "big book" guide for football and it from around 1999. I probably should see about getting a new one, but I really don't need/want it loaded with the confusing mess of parallels and inserts collecting has grown into. I really do miss the simplicity of the 90s. Some great cards...

    September 2022-New Arrivals

Nobody is giving me a hard time yet, but this one is all NON-baseball. It was a heck of a mail day. I keep winning new stuff, but I am also not getting any bargains (in my mind). My snipes are usually near the end price or I lose. No steals of late! The market seems to be strong, at least...

another rant for Cheap-ass ebay shipping and blue tape!!!!!!!

By the way, I paid $5 for the card. I think the shipping was another $5.

Not a Dodger card, but does scratch one off the Dodger auto list. Heath Hembree. Back down to needing 4.

Nice bonus! Putting card away and I see the serial number is 22. That seemed like it might have been Palmers number to me….it was! I really don’t pay attention to this outside of Garvey’s 6, so it was a nice surprise.

I really like these quite a bit, but it's hard for me to see much more than over paying for a 3x5 card (or in this case, looks like a cut personal check)! This one featuring "Babe" Herman was /99. Can't believe there were that many Herman cards issued that year! Not to be confused with HOFer...

another rant for Cheap-ass ebay shipping and blue tape!!!!!!!

I don't completely disagree with you about the "sick of people" comment. Sadly, it takers only a few turds to sour some folks and the more you deal with, the harder it gets to look past even the slightest annoyance. There are plenty of great people out there, but after dealing with turd after...

Another solid day. Allen /50. Like the look to this design. Acetate card, hopefully they figured out that yellowing crap from the 90s! Ditka. Elway. Fingers. Palmer/Rettenmund. Santiago.

    Maury Wills dead at 89

Well, damn. I guess my days of Wills autos at a bargain $ are over for a bit. Sad to lose another Dodger.

I do miss ripping packs, but that is a suckers game anymore.

another rant for Cheap-ass ebay shipping and blue tape!!!!!!!

I have resorted to messaging sellers in those instances (before I bid ideally) where I win a GU card and suspect it will go via standard trading card method. I will offer to pay extra and have it shipped securely in a bubble mailer. I have received GU cards in PWEs , in toploaders that...

Finally picking up a few Garvey from newer issues, as prices fall. Locastro /25. An impulse vintage buy, since I have Jake Daubert on a saved search lately. Nap Rucker/Jake Daubert. 2 dead ball era guys that don't get much attention, because they aren't Cobb/Young! Not quite as good as...
