    Sportsbuy closing down

Beckett has an argument if they are referring to their database when they talk about checklists. Their database is very comprehensive and involves much more than just checklist information.

Post-release Wax Prices are dwindling, how bad of a sign is this for the industry as a whole?

This is part of my post from another message board that I posted a few weeks ago about my thoughts on the manufacturers: It is the lack of content and lack of excitement surrounding these products that is making them fall. The companies have no idea how badly they are damaging this industry by...

So basically isnt COMC getting .50 per card?

Hi Moe, a quick question I have not seen asked or answered anywhere.. If I send in 500 cards, sell 250 of them, and 6 months later want the rest shipped back to me, what do I pay? Do I have to pay base shipping fees plus $.25 per card? Or something else?

2014 Archives Set to Salute Major League

I used to love Topps Archives, but I am not pre-ordering this one until I see a checklist or more pictures. The last few times they have tried archives and similar products there were not enough mid-level autographs to make the product work.

The return of Panini America minimum advertised pricing.

I think a MAPP in this case is bad. I think controlled distribution is good. Unfortunately I think Panini just doesn't get it. They have pumped out way too many really bad products, it doesn't matter what type of price they want us to sell it for, it just won't sell.

What's the deal with all of the Willie Mays forgeries popping up on ebay?

Wow, most of those Mays autographs are really bad. It is really sad a lot of this stuff gets out on the open market.

Anyone going to the "East Coast National"?

Hey Ty, it takes me about an hour and a half to get to White Plains from my shop (in Belmar), so Manasquan should be about the same. I usually just take the Parkway to the end and then take the NY State Thruway across the Tappan Zee Bridge to white plains. If you go in the morning there is not...

    NSCC Future Destinations (2014 - 2019)

I have been told they don't want it in Chicago every year due to the suntimes show.

    NSCC Future Destinations (2014 - 2019)

I was set up in 2003 and it was by far the worst i have ever done. It was also the most poorly attended national from 1997 to current. There was a vote after that national to return in 2006, but it was voted down by huge numbers. The national is only returning to Atlantic City because of the...

    NSCC Future Destinations (2014 - 2019)

I voted against Atlantic City, and I live an hour away... The national works best in a city where therre are lots of inexpensive hotels, things for the family to do while you attend the show, and ease to travel in and out of the show. Atlantic city is to expensive during the summer and it is...

i'm hearing we're SOL on blue wave packs, and prospect challenge being cancelled?

Did they do their usual Q & A at the end of the Topps retailing for success?

    This patch is fake, right?

Thats how most of these cards look. Topps did not cut a very deep window for the pieces to fit into and as a result it looks pretty sloppy.

    This patch is fake, right?

I actually would say real. I had a customer pull a Clinton Portis NFL logo patch from this product back in 2002. No one believed it was real and I would not have believed it ither if I had not seen it pulled myself. Since then, i have seen other logo/tag pieces from this product that came from...

TUESDAY Updates (frank thomas returns, gotg!) from vegas industry summit

You are right, but Upper Deck has a lot it can do with a MLBPA deal since it also has the NCAA deal, unlike Panini that just has the MLBPA contract. I like what Upper Deck oes in football, and if they do similar thing in baseball with a mix of current and retired players I think they can make...
