sold high-ish dollar item to a buyer in Japan. Does USPS offer a trackable service, or am I better off using FedEx? Or does this new eBay "ship to our international center, and we do the rest" work well?
thanks, and sorry if this has been well-discussed before. My search of post history...
Also, speaking of former VU guys, is Casey Weathers on this list? Jeremy Sowers? (also, if you have nice cards of them, pm me).
I try to prospect in guys that went to top college programs, because even if they tank as pros, there are morons (like me!) that will pay for their stuff for their...
See that Glenn Davis (the late 90s one) makes an appearance. If anyone has any nice cards of him, let me know. He's a Vandy player. Not sure that they made high end cards of prospects back then, though.
Also, I was told by a Topps rep that they inserted redemptions into a product after only having sent (sent!) requests to the player's rep for autographs.
It's one thing if you have to put in redemption cards because a player that has signed a contract has not yet returned his cards. It's...
I paid a premium once for a Vanderbilt related card that was numbered 1873/2000. School was founded that year. I'd probably pay a premium for a 615/XXXX as well--Nashville area code.
Nice thing about both is that it requires by definition a high-numbered card, so it'd never be too expensive.
300 players in the set?
i didn't follow it much after release, but how is Power Showcase doing on the secondary market these days? I understand it sold from leaf to distributors quite well, and that distributors sold well, and that case breakers sold well initially. but for those that...
it strikes me as incredibly depressing that there are so many pete rose autographs out there that targets have to discount them from $20 to get people to bite.
I mean, great for collectors (in a sense), since it gives us the chance to get his autograph cheaply, but there is something weird...
4 Commodores making the trip: Grayson Garvin and Curt Casali from Tampa, Drew Hayes from Cincy and Will Clinard from Detroit.
Nice fellas if you are into the autograph thing.
I would have to imagine that would run afoul of the NCAA eligibility rules. Or rather since a student athlete at a NCAA member cannot do it, neither could a potential student athlete. Even those that are obviously going pro don't want to risk losing the implied leverage of being able to go to...
yep, had read that prior to going to see him play a couple times. Certainly isn't struggling against this live pitching, though the quality is bad (not only hi a, but the Chi Sox hi A...eesh!). As for the uppercut swing, I didn't see it. Dropped the barrel and expanded the zone, but made...
Dariel Alvarez continues to mash through the Carolina League. 24 year old from Cuba is a bit old for the league, but he's doing exactly what he is supposed to.
.481/.500/.778 with 2 2B and 2HR in 7 games. Baltimore's answer to Yasiel Puig?
What if it turns out he was hurt these past few years?
Or what say he has a couple 15-7 seasons in his early-mid 30s, with around 1 k/inning, and an era under 3.50?
I mean, if no one was as dominant for those 5-6 years as Koufax, no one was as dominant as Big Time Timmy Jims in those 2-3 years.
