Some refer to the red /3999 as "base" cards of the set, and the blue and gold as parallels.
There is a rumor that there is a black parallel 1/1, but I've never seen one.

You are correct.

This has been confirmed but only for the Certified set; they were never issued for the Totally Certified set.
