It appears the bottom card has been exposed to a slightly acidic environment and has toned with age. All 1992 Donurss cards I've seen have the watermark, though I have found examples with a darker,...
I've never seen a legitimate Pacific plate. One of the more obvious issues is that after-printing features like foil, etching, and embossing can be seen in the "plate". Those artifacts shouldn't...
Man, hate I missed that Thomas. Too cool.
I love Executive Proofs, but I've never had a shot at any Frank Crusade proofs. Excellent snag!
I will always love the A's for giving Big Frank a chance in 2006 and again in 2008.
It shouldn't happen, but it's not the graders doing the data entry. They just grade the cards.
I agree, the early Donruss are the best.
Grabbed a Diamond Cuts with a piece of Frank signature awhile back.
Just a quality control issue. There are at least 4 foil variations I've found (3 for the promo), and I've heard there is also a silver foil variation.

Not a Jose collector, but loved the WS patch...miss this card.
Thanks! I was stoked to find a 1987 Team USA era signature with the "36". I recently found another era I'd been looking for; 1989 Sarasota White Sox, complete with "30" inscription.
Just got an order back from PSA myself.
Not especially rare, I have a couple and know several Thomas guys with copies. Cool variation though.
I'll never have a complete 2013 A&G run because of that stupid box lid thing. Frank is long gone I'm sure.
The one that got away...I bought one of those Ripkens in a lot once, but the seller didn't include it in the purchase. Still stings...didn't even get my money back.
Not me, but a lady in one of the FB groups opened a lunch box of Retro last year and pulled two Griffey Quantum Leaps stuck together.
I always assumed DallasCardboys had ties to Beckett, but never expected DJB himself. Dude's not very knowledgeable about that part of the hobby; I've made a killing on his poor listings and added a...
Finished up a few minor rainbows today.
87185 (the 1/1 is accounted for already)
I believe the exact same way the do photo images; they coat the plate with a light sensitive chemical etching or hardening agent, and expose the image (in the form of a photo negative or photo...
While it's not an insert, it was used in the productions of a 1990's Donruss release; stoked to finally add a Dick Perez original.
Took awhile, but I finished my top 10 list for 2018. Here's the write-up I shared on facebook.
Despite severely reducing my expenditure on cards in 2018, I was able to have a respectable year of...
This was my last 1 of 1 purchase in 2018:
