Birthday Cheers to FCB!! I think I was here close to day 1, not around as much due to family and work obligations but still a great place to talk baseball and share in this great hobby!
Those are beautiful- I also think I remember seeing Ted Williams' pass (don't think it was gold though) in Hunt's auctions.

....so scored an invite to the big WB Mason Consumer Show at Fenway today and then a special invite to play softball on the field. Now the set-up for the game was a little goofy (home plate in RF corner, 20+ on each team, no catchers) but the facts stand that I hit 2 home runs today, one over...
....we want more pics of the wife!! :D::facepalm::
Thanks for sharing the pics Mike.
I take it they didn't let you take a couple of hacks with the Ruth lumber???? ;)
I of course love the Ted '54 and Jackie GPC.
Congrats again on the great trip!!
All is great up north- not all that thrilled with the Lester trade but guessing it pales to how you feel about losing Price.
I'll have to see what I have for doubles as well. The Hiassen is a real sloppy signature compared to his full signature.
I really need to take a full inventory of my...
.....nice, now you can wheel-and-deal again!! I think you sent me an Emeril and Jane Fonda for the Mortenson.
My .79 find which I posted last week in the sports thrift post is-
"Found a signed Reggie White biography today "In the Trenches," for $.79 at my local SA. Also signed by two others-...
Just wanted to publicly thank @cjedmonton (Chris) for his awesome contest and prize. His contests are always so creative and interesting. Lumberjack Bingo was just his latest fun and inclusive contest.
These contests always bring the FCB community together and show his love of baseball. He is...
Yabba dabba doo!!! Awesome write-ups and so glad for you Mike!! I think the prices you paid were reasonable. As mrmopar said, you could get a Jackie GPC for less, but if you were happy with what you got than you should not look back. Can't wait to see pics of your haul.
The whole experience...
Timber!!! (Cleared Left side, right previously lopped off)
Yesterday Yanks beat Rangers 12-11
Total runs
Texas 11
Texas 11
Yankees 12
Total 34 > 21
I'll go with Mr. Trout. BIG Thanks for a great contest!!!
The Sox have so badly botched this situation. I think most fans will be quite pissed if they do trade him. I actually thought this ownership "got it."
Given their resources and the crazy money in the game he should have been locked up following last year's Series.

Belle did not play 12 seasons- he played 10 + 2 partial (those are his 162 game averages). Had he averaged 40HRs and 130 RBIs for 12 years he would have 480/1560 and that would put him in the top 25-30 for HRs and top 40 for RBI's. I think those numbers would have merited serious consideration...
Found a signed Reggie White biography today "In the Trenches," for $.79 at my local SA. Also signed by two others- Gary Bauer and Fred Barnes, both right-wing pro-lifers. Guessing they were all at a religious event.
Dust jacket not in great shape but Reggie's auto is in bold black sharpie.
Catfish Hunter died in 1999 at the young age of 53.......
Note, Adam Jones wrote TG19 on his All Star game hat as a tribute to Tony. He gets it!!

1a. Ortiz walk-off against Angels to clinch ALDS in 2004
