....so scored an invite to the big WB Mason Consumer Show at Fenway today and then a special invite to play softball on the field. Now the set-up for the game was a little goofy (home plate in RF corner, 20+ on each team, no catchers) but the facts stand that I hit 2 home runs today, one over... -

Hall of Fame cuts eligibility on ballot from 15 to 10 years. Bad news for Bonds, McGwire, etc.
Belle did not play 12 seasons- he played 10 + 2 partial (those are his 162 game averages). Had he averaged 40HRs and 130 RBIs for 12 years he would have 480/1560 and that would put him in the top 25-30 for HRs and top 40 for RBI's. I think those numbers would have merited serious consideration... -

....as you noted his walks were the main reason- also only played 154 game seasons. -

Found a signed Reggie White biography today "In the Trenches," for $.79 at my local SA. Also signed by two others- Gary Bauer and Fred Barnes, both right-wing pro-lifers. Guessing they were all at a religious event. Dust jacket not in great shape but Reggie's auto is in bold black sharpie. -
