I submitted a batch for their August throwback special, and a few of the cards have already trickled into my account. Nice that they don't automatically back-burner low priority submissions.
I want to collect Billy Hamilton. I can't see a reason for ANY Billy Hamilton card to sell for more than $10-15, so I will probably never seriously collect Billy Hamilton. I may just have to collect Donell Nixon, instead.
You can with these because the whole card isn't the shiny, reflective foil, only the background. Here's COMC's scan:

I've added as much of the checklist as I could assemble from what has been listed on eBay recently over at TCDB: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/368044/
Would greatly appreciate filling in the gaps. What number was the Dale Murphy?
Y'know, what? I think you're right and I'm am idiot. I spend the better part of an hour scouring the web confirming this and never caught the Tetley/Superstars thing.
Nothing to see here!
Now I have to go re-evaluate absolutely everything I've researched in the past 10 years.
There are literally two versions of Tetley discs. Both say Tetley with the Third or Fourth along the left side. Plenty of images on eBay and COMC to confirm.
Beckett mentions it in their set description, but SCD does not, that the 1990 Tetley set has a variation. It appears the set was originally printed with "Fourth Annual" on the front, which was quickly corrected to "Third Annual". Based on some quick eBay searching, it appears the calendar...
This is my conundrum with Billy Hamilton. I started following him when he was stealing everything in sight 2012. I wanted to start collecting him, but immediately his card prices shot thru the roof, even before he made it to the Reds roster. And for all the autographs and memorabilia cards...
Yes, still tracking and updating that blog post as new cards or magnets surface. Just added Chat Kreuter and Jose Canseco to the 1993 magnet list.
What did you find?
I had a realization recently that my actual hobby is data entry. I compile trading card checklists to post to TCDB. I research my family to plug the data into software and websites. I research wrestling to post the results on forums and websites. It all boils down to gathering information to...
Well, 'legit' is somewhat subjective with some of the Venezuelan issues. Given the condition and the look of the album pages, I do think they were produced in 1990 and aren't some kind of weird new bootleg. I'll reach out to the seller again and see if I can at least pin down when/where he...
Since it is right up your alley, there was an identification kind of post over on TCDB in the last few days for a series of Venezuelan stickers from 1990 that hit eBay recently. The producer took the 1990 Topps images, trimmed off the border and put a number in a white circle over the Topps...
