    Ripped Rip cards

I’m totally with you, I would have still bought a ripped Puckett all things equal. It should also sell for less ripped than a un-ripped Puckett as well, so that’s a benefit. I just wouldn’t have been able to personally rip a 1/1 card myself regardless of player... Sent from my iPhone using...

    Ripped Rip cards

Yeah, depends on what was inside for sure, but that was still a 1/1 card was was ripped. That’s a heck of a gamble... I hope there was something decent in there for whoever ripped it. Sent from my iPhone using Freedom Card Board mobile app

    Ripped Rip cards

Whoa, that’s a lot of cheddar. There’s a good number of /10 cards in that lot. I just wouldn’t be able to bring myself to rip a /10 card. I also wouldn’t be able to pay that for the lot just to rip them all either. That’s a heck of a dilemma... Sent from my iPhone using Freedom Card Board...

    Ripped Rip cards

Very cool! I had no idea these were a thing. I miss the Pinnacle brand. I liked them and original Donruss brands best... I don’t think Puckett had a Pinnacle card released after 1996, but he did have one final card from Score released in ‘98. Sent from my iPhone using Freedom Card Board mobile app

    Ripped Rip cards

Ripped cards? Oh boy have I been out of the Topps loop since Puckett’s likeness hasn’t been used since 2004 before the new T206 release this year... Any other wonky Topps trends I need to study up on since they appear ready to use Puckett images more? Sent from my iPhone using Freedom Card...

Any thoughts on eBay not using PP exclusively anymore?

Ugh, I don’t want to go back to the days of money orders, seems like still using a fax machine today. I’m not on FB, so I won’t see any new Puckett’s there. Things may get interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Freedom Card Board mobile app

    Kirby Puckett Collectors Thread

Not sure, I heard his license wasn’t passed onto anyone when he passed which was supposed to be why Topps wasn’t releasing new Puckett cards with his likeness. I’d have to assume whatever was preventing them to make new Puckett’s either ran out or was able to be picked up/approved by the family...

What is the story on STAR cards from the 80's/90's?

Thank you! The very first thing I bought from eBay when I stumbled on the site after hearing a radio commercial in the late 90’s was a Puckett regular 1988 Star set. I had never seen them before. I couldn’t find that stuff pre/internet and eBay specifically where I lived. So, my mind was blown...

What is the story on STAR cards from the 80's/90's?

Hopefully you can see them all. I count 113 entires in 1988, 22 in 1989 and 1990, 60 in 1991 and 47 in 1992. 264 total which included one sealed set from 1988 (bag). I didn’t chase the extra sets that came in the snap cases... Sent from my iPhone using Freedom Card Board mobile app

What is the story on STAR cards from the 80's/90's?

I’m not sure if these will come out or not posting like this. But, in case you can see everything, here’s my Puckett’s from the Star sets from 1988 - 1992. 1988 - lots of error/print waste possibly in this year. I bought a number of sheets from a high volume seller and had a friend cut them for...

What is the story on STAR cards from the 80's/90's?

Some of the Puckett’s still sell well, there’s a number of promos in completed auctions that sold for over $40 each & two were over $75 or so. Prices tend to fluctuate and swing one way or another on these though IMO. I’m a big fan of them. Some of them were definitely tough for me to find...

Anyone here buy the 1989 Fleer Error Cards Blank Fronts Lot of 4 Bo Ripken lot on eBay last night?

I know nothing of Topps these days since he’s been long removed from their releases aside from cut autos that haven’t looked all that great IMO. I’m with you on wanting base sp and the like, my wallet will also prefer that as well. I’m excited to see what they come up with all the same and love...
