Therion's All Time Astros Autograph Collection (930 Reached!! 17 To Go!)

Stinson doesn't seem to be a tough auto, but I have to say I don't remember that card. I wouldn't mind one myself.

    How much is this worth?

The sportscard market is strange at times and you never know when a bidding war can erupt over what most would consider a common card. Certain serial numbered cards have a dedicated following and bring in lots of $, but even today, low serial numbers do not always equate to high $. You really...

Nomination for the dumbest card concept yet!

I can't tell if my comment landed as intended. In Japan, from what I saw at least, the pubic region is blurred in magazines that would be considered the kind you might buy in the US, for example, to see that exact area unblurred!

Are the hairs blurred out on the card?

Introducing the "Garvey a day" thread

I got one in at the wire last night for Day #19 https://1978theyearitallbegan.blogspot.com/2021/01/6-revisited.html but was too tired and it was too late to post the links around the internet. I can see that this will be next to impossible to maintain daily. It's been unusually busy with my...

    MrMopar's New Dodgers Autograph Thread

This one was worthy of mention. I actually can't remember if I won this card before. I know I have been outbid several times, so when one had a nice BIN price, I jumped.

Nomination for the dumbest card concept yet!

To each their own. No judgement from me on what anyone collects, but in all fairness, there can be judgement on what is made and why. I guess you can go to their website and see the item they destroyed, I mean cut up, to make this. I have not done that yet. If the words were meaningful...

    Andre Ethier PC **Revamped**

Sorry, since the dual was /10, I just assumed the single was too and didn't go back and check.

Nomination for the dumbest card concept yet!

OK, maybe there was something dumber than this that I have thankfully forgotten about by now, but perhaps not. This popped up in a search for me today. Are you kidding me? Who would actually buy this and why? I think I might even draw the line if there was a Garvey like this. then again, as...

    MrMopar's New Dodgers Autograph Thread

Took a chance on this one. Didn't have the card itself, so figure even if it were to be fake, it still displays OK. It was surprisingly cheap, so that may be the telltale sign, but stranger things have happened! His signature is such a scribble that it makes it tough to really tell, for me at...

    Andre Ethier PC **Revamped**

Maybe it wasn't now that I checked out your page. I just looked back and you don't have either shown in your 2009 section. You do have the single Ethier card #'d/10 though, which is cool. Maybe it was a photobucket search hit that made me aware. Probably looking for Noren when I was building...

    Andre Ethier PC **Revamped**

I am pretty sure it was your collection that introduced me to the Heritage 1960 version card with him and Irv Noren, autographed to 25 copies. i finally landed one just a week or two ago. I was able to find the other card from the set numbered to 10, I think with stadium seats and also...

    Roberto Alomar Collector's Thread

I wish I would have bought the Maddux and Piazza. I bought Albert Belle and Frank Thomas. Thomas took a long time to find one at the price I wanted. If I recall it was even graded, PSA9 I think.

    1952 Mantle

I think you are looking at the same thing I see. I think it is some sort of printing flaw personally. It's too obvious for it to be a crease and have a grade like that.

Are you talking about through the "hits" column on back? I think that is some sort of print mark, if so. Does not look like a crease to me.

    Vintage Pick Up Thread

I also got this today. It's got some cool pre-Dodger stuff, as it is from 1978 and the Dukes were the AAA farm club for the Dodgers. I counted 12 players on the roster who played for prior or went on to play for the Dodgers. The cover is pretty cool too, but...that guy looks very familiar to...
