It is cut and dry. And take it from someone who wants the Red Sox to win b/c I do not like the Cardinals...at all. Its fact, Craig tripped over Middlebrooks while he was in the baseline trying to advance to the next base = obstruction.
Every one can try to throw little and absurd notions like...
It doesn't matter when Middlebrooks lifted his legs or whether he did it or not...the fact is Middlebrooks was in the basepath on the ground and unintentionally tripped Craig and cause obstruction (Craig advancing another base)...game over.
If he's Lincecum of 2012 and 2013, yes. If he's Lincecum of pre-2012, than it's a steal for the Giants. The man won 2 Cy Youngs and helped win 2 WS for the franchise...hard to not give him some sort of deal...the length - 2 years was smart by the Giants.
He showed glimpses of his early career...
Honestly, if I'm the Indians I go for it. Salazar is what you hoped Bauer would be. So ship either Paulino/Lindor plus Bauer, Levon Washington (TB wanted this guy before), and a relief arm for Price.
The Indians need a lot if they want to compete with DET
Adds another nice lefty to the...
Just get him out of the AL East, that's all I care about.
Don't count out the Giants. I don't think Lincy is going back. Price might not want to sign long term there though.
I don't see 5 players getting in but how do you not put in Maddux, Glavine or Thomas? And then Piazza and Biggio should've gotten in last year. And then there's Bagwell who DESERVES it but wont get in.
I hope at least 4 get in but ideally all 6 would get in.
Also, Maddux will break Tom Seavers...
lol @ Dodgers fans. There is no way an umpire is calling him safe there. Not a single one. The ball beat the runner there, Yadier caught it cleanly and there was a collision before ellis ever touched the plate = automatic out.
There's a reason Mattingly didn't come out and argue. And Ellis...
Koji Uehara has to be pretty close if the minimum is like 65 IP....
He has a disgusting WHIP of 0.562 in 67.2 IP
Some other stats:
ERA is 1.06
9 BB to 94 K...10/1 K:BB!
12.5 K/9
Is this the greatest relief season of all time?
I can't believe the Rangers didn't use him more last year...
Not really. Everyone saw Davis power potential before this year. He gave a mini display of it his first year in Texas and he absolutely dominated the minors. His totals from 2009-2011 in AAA were 762 AB - .332 AVG 44 HR and an OPS way over 1.000....He also hit 33 HR last year.
My point being...
I cringe every time we blow a lead with our bullpen and watching Koji just simply dominate the game with Boston. The trade was great, but Koji expressed his EXTREME interest in coming back to Baltimore this year b/c his kids go to school in Baltimore and Duquette balked....DUMB.
Not sure if the Orioles have enough but it would definitely have to start with Bundy or Gausman...but the O's would not give up both.
I'm thinking something like Bundy, Schoop, Eduardo Rodriguez, and a MLB-ready player still with potential like Reimold or Zach Britton.
And I would do it in a...
On top of him being injured for quite a few games, he also hits at the top of the order in the #1 or #2 slot...very hard to drive runs in, in that spot in the NL
Took me less than 3 seconds to find out the card was a 2010 insert...I have no sympathy for the bidders. It's in huge capital black letters. With that being said, it's most likely shilled anyway considering the seller.
