Plus, there are what, 4-5 guys who have been traded and are in the wrong uniform? Would it kill Topps to consider the trade deadline ever?
Imagine being pissed about already pulling a Shields or Miller auto, and then he's not even in the right uniform...
The few HOF autos in it are guys who Topps recently had sign a bajillion things, so even that isn't all that impressive. I can't see any combination of players and hits that would make half your money back.
At $900/pack, you should be guaranteed a knob/button/nameplate/full-letter per pack. At...
That stinks man.
Not that you want to hear this, but I once grabbed one of those retail re-pack things at Target just to get the BDDP 2011 pack I could see in it. I pulled a chrome refractor of him. One of the better ROIs I can remember.
Don't forget to pull these out:

I cannot, for the life of me, find my damn Elite auto I pulled to toss on eBay. I must have sold it off-line, since I have no record of moving it.
Or I lost the damn thing...
Still, as the SABR article makes the point, baseball is designed to prevent runs. And i would argue it's more impressive when an NL team does it, given the pitcher spot rolling around every 9 ABs.
8 offensive innings, at least 1 run per.

Although not as rare as these occurrences:

The Brewers would probably take him back. He is a mental player. He has talked to no end about how much he loved his time in Milwaukee and how much the owed the club for the repeated chances they gave him until he finally turned in that 8+ WAR season.
He could turn it right around again with a...
I kind of like borders, so I'm torn. It's clean and all, but I like the base set to have borders and you can get creative with the other stuff.
I'm not saying it looks bad, just maybe not what I want in my base Topps.
Maybe one of my favorite in-house sport show commercials ever. Remember, this commercial happened BEFORE Prince even left Milwaukee.

Well, he had a good run. In the end, he had a career similar to his dad's. In fact, he's currently tied with him for HRs @ 319. Wonder if he'll ever try coming back just to hit that 1 more?
Pulled this IN 2010 and didn't move it at the time, even though I probably could have pulled down two hundred dollars.
Held WAY too long and I don't even know when I got rid of it.
For reference, if I still had it now, a BGS 9 just sold for less that 2 single dollars.
Sellers: it's between Cashman and Stearns. I'd easily give it to Cashman, unless you limit it to today, then Stearns.
Buyers: lots of contenders stood firm, but I guess the Dodgers did the best, although SF always makes the moves that always seem to help them the best.
