    BA's, KLaw's and MLB Pipeline's 2018 Top 100 Prospects Lists

What a resurrection for Monte Harrison. I always liked that kid and am glad to see him re-capturing his ceiling projections.

I think I’m actually included in this trade going to Pittsburgh. That about sums up the value here...

Aaron Rodgers done for the season

You could build one of the best fantasy teams with guys that are messed up this season.

2010 Bowman Chrome Strasburg auto super pulled!!!! (ouch)

Remember that there was that Chrome auto in BDPP as an insert. I pulled a base. He had a picture with that GAWD-awful haircut/Mohawk. Bet that had a Super.

So, who were the most disappointing players this year?

As for a letdown or heartbreak, Villar looked like u was going to get MVP votes given an entire season and decent playing time. Nope...

So how did Bleacher Report do with their predictions?

Wow, on the Milwaukee prediction. In the words of Maxwell Smart: "missed it by that much..."

Brewers lose their ace Jimmy Nelson for the rest of season in midst of postseason push

I think, in the last 10-12 years, the most catastrophic injuries to Brewers' top-end pitching has come on the base-paths. It's not them throwing their arm out, it's tweaking a knee running, or sliding, or even odd stuff like hang nails and blisters (*ahem* Ben Sheets). I still prefer my...

    The #MilbDailyThread - 8/31 (Verdugo/Mejia Called Up)

Not that there is ever a good time to break a bone, but the end of the season is preferable...I guess.

Homer at the Bat: The Untold Story of the Simpsons

Did you ever listen to the creator commentary on that episode? Suffice it to say, they do not have warm feelings toward your hero.

    Whatever Happened To Moore

I actually made a killing on his Elite autos. I got a bunch of them in a lot where I was really just interested in a Trout and Jurickson Profar at the time. The guy I was buying from just wanted a bigger deal, so I bought a bunch of stuff. There were like 5 Moore cards in it, and two were ser...

Your best box with MULTIPLE big cards?

My shop owner still talks about this. I bought a box of 2014 Bowman Platinum, hoping for the Bryant Bowman Chrome autos that were placed in them. Well, I hit it as the second auto. As the shop owner were talking about it, he says "you know, Bryant has a regular Platinum auto in this as well...

What was the first auto you ever pulled?

I bounced in and out of collecting a few times. In 1999/2000 timeframe, I pulled my first GU from 2000 Upper Deck football, Courtney Brown. Then I took time off and joined the military. After getting back from deployment in 2005, I checked out some 2005 Topps Chrome retail. In it I hit a black...

Trade deadline today at 4 P.M.

Not only that, but by getting Jeffress back today, for a guy who was a F.A. sign, Milwaukee got that whole deal for just Lucroy, effectively.

Since I don't want to open another entire account, is there a free site you (FCB) could open an account with and we can upload our signatures to? I realize that's asking a bit, but I'd rather not open an entirely new image sharing account for one picture. Thoughts?

Will the Red Sox add a slugger by the deadline?

Not that I'm in panic mode or anything, but how funny WOULD it be if Milwaukee traded Shaw back to the Red Sox?
  20. hive17

JOSE QUINTANA TRADED TO THE CUBS FOR ELOY JIMENEZ/DYLAN CEASE/MATT ROSE & BRYANT FLETE

The winners might end up being Milwaukee. This unforseen success by the Brewers put the Cubs in panic mode. If those prospects were going to impact the future MLB roster for the Cubs, Milwaukee had a hand in reducing that impact. I'm not saying it was the plan, but it's definitely an outcome...

Bowman Platinum break, BIG hit for me

Pretty close. But I once pulled a dual auto, 1/1 of Carlos Gomez and Derek Jeter from 2007 US Exquisite. Maybe tied, given the Brewers nexus.

Bowman Platinum break, BIG hit for me

So I opened my 2 blasters, 4 packs, and 2 big boxes of Bowman Platinum. I got some Judges, some Bellingers, and some parallels. The autos were atrocious, save for one. Adrew Sopko Carter Kieboom Joe Jimenez But the last autograph certainly made up for it:

What do you want your team to do at the deadline?

I'm not trying to rub it in, but how much do you hate the Shaw/Doubon/Pennington for Thornburg trade at this point?
  24. hive17

What do you want your team to do at the deadline?

I'd be OK with Milwaukee getting a controllable starting pitcher with good periphs, but that's it. I'm talking Gray, not Quintana. Maybe if another team falls away and moves into seller mode, we could go shopping. Bottom line: no rentals for a team that is unpredictably over-achieving.

BA's Midseason Top 100 Prospects List

That whistling artillery sound you hear is JP Crawford. Ouch. I think the same could be said about Corey Ray though, as he's off the list.
