Great story- CONGRATULATIONS on adding the card to your collection! It amazes sometimes how much time, effort and thought can go into acquiring some of the cards at the top of our wantlists. It's pretty neat that your patience paid off and you ended up with a NICER one than you had had a...
That SUPERrefractor is jaw dropping! In a 1991 UD format that is one of the coolest cards I've ever seen. I busted a LOT of those packs in 1991 and pulled many Canseco silver sluggers, but they were all the base version;)
I was having trouble getting the card images to come up...seems like most of them are "never seen?" ;) That's some serious cheddar and some pretty nice looking cards in his completed listings...
Funny, I just snagged this Randy. I jacked up the price and then came over here to offer it to you. But it sounds as if you prefer I hold onto it. No problem.
Nice to start off 2017 by wrapping up some unfinished business! ;) Thanks to Cobra29svt for working with me on this! And a tip of the cap to BunchOBull for an assist dating back to 2014!
Fixed that for ya.
I have a box full of slabbed cards that I've been meanign to send back to them that were properly described on the submission form and improperly described on the flip. It seems that it used to be more of a "choose your own adventure" on how PSA labelled insert sets, even...
Well, the atomic non die-cut Jeter in a gem mint slab would be sweet. And since it's the 90's...it would be super sweet! Flash a pic of that card in here when you get a chance.
I think the 96 Bowman's best cuts non die cuts have emerged from at least 3 different sources, by my count, over the past few years so they seem to be more available than most other unreleased "uncut proof" type cards that usually seem to come from only one source originally.

This thread is on fire!
This will be my best post so far on FCB ;) FYI I joined FCB in the fall of 2009 as FCB member HOFautos had a red crusade Manny that was available for sale. I had been runner up bidder on the Manny red crusade 3 times in 2007-2008 on ebay...and I was not about to miss...
Yeah, I was sweating it big time. I informed my wife at the beginning of the week that I would be "non-communicative" for a few hours Friday night around the time the auction was ending! Ha ha.
A 2 year quest making offers going after those things ended with...me winning on an open auction! Anxiously awaiting their arrival... I hope the Bernie,Grace, and Cruz Jr. Guys were successful as well. They will be the keystones of my 90s Manny collection.

Welcome to the HOF
(I'm about a week late this year!)
On behalf of the 13 members of the Hall of Fame in the 1998 Bowman Chrome Golden Anniversary set, congratulations and welcome to the two latest members to join the club: Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza.
More great stuff. The Alan Trammels are the bomb.
Intern at Upper Deck in 1992: "Holy wow, these cards are awesome! I hope we do this!".
Exec at UD in 1992: "So what's the unit price per card if we scale up to full production? Ok, thanks, but we'll pass."
Ouch.

Just to put a nail in this coffin, it is not exposure to sunlight that turns the 1999 EX base cards into a even shade of gold. Here is a scan of the base card, which I put in the windowsill at the beginning of June (I wrote the date on it in blue sharpie) and the same card today. I wrote the...
Six years later and nobody has posted a scan of a 1999 UD MVP preview card?! There are none on ebay. None on the beckett marketplace. None on sportslots. None on a google image search. None on comc and no history of one ever being on there. And the real nail in the coffin...none owned by...
