Well, once again an obscure set hits eBay and I'm torn about how bad I really want to fill a hole in a player collection. A 1997 Score Hobby Reserve set has been broken. Not sure I can muster up the interest to drop $80 for a Roberto Kelly card. -
Rays in post season!
How have the Rays not gone bankrupt by now? They probably draw about the same fans to the park as the FSL teams around them. -
COMC - Anyone have anything positive to say in 2021? (2022 UPDATE) (2023 UPDATE)
I submitted a batch for their August throwback special, and a few of the cards have already trickled into my account. Nice that they don't automatically back-burner low priority submissions. -
Holding on to the past
I want to collect Billy Hamilton. I can't see a reason for ANY Billy Hamilton card to sell for more than $10-15, so I will probably never seriously collect Billy Hamilton. I may just have to collect Donell Nixon, instead. -

Question about the 1989 Donruss & Fleer Griffey RCs.
Loads of Donruss cards with "NO MAJOR LEAGUE RECORD" on the back. Heck Andy Nezelek had cards in 1989 & 1990 Donruss, and never made it to the majors. -

Possible New Hobby Discovery - South American Sticker/Stamp Book with stars!
Going with just what was printed on the sticker, rather than the actual player names is amusing. Is that just a policy for items they can't identify? -

Y'know, what? I think you're right and I'm am idiot. I spend the better part of an hour scouring the web confirming this and never caught the Tetley/Superstars thing. Nothing to see here! Now I have to go re-evaluate absolutely everything I've researched in the past 10 years. -

There are literally two versions of Tetley discs. Both say Tetley with the Third or Fourth along the left side. Plenty of images on eBay and COMC to confirm. -

Beckett mentions it in their set description, but SCD does not, that the 1990 Tetley set has a variation. It appears the set was originally printed with "Fourth Annual" on the front, which was quickly corrected to "Third Annual". Based on some quick eBay searching, it appears the calendar... -
