Found that seller's description of this series really interesting. Knew they were rare but had no idea the print runs were that low. Glad I was able to pick up all but one of the 5 Griffey cards early on.
Michael - That's still the same bogus card you have shown before. That's the '97 SP #170 Vintage Buyback 312 series card and someone has changed the serial number to 10. The hologram is one from the 312 print run. The 2000 SP #170 Buyback was numbered to 12 and the 2000 SP #170 Buyback was...
Wish it was mine Jack! Several years ago I think ylaf had this card up as a BIN and I missed it as it obviously sold right away. I kept the images because it is such a nice card. Still looking for another but not optimistic.
Has anyone else noticed how your ebay "searches" are now bogged down given COMC dumping 1-1/2 million cards as "the world's largest consignment service"?
Assuming the refractors all have the gloss coating and the card front 'peel', the serial numbers should be 'shiny' gold and stamped on back. Enclosed are shots of mine which was graded early on. Tend to agree with tidel144 that "0" may not be the key. In that same year "The Man" refractors were...
How about the full size advertising stand-ups!
They take up a lot of room but some were pretty cool when they came out. Here are 3 favorites of Junior that I have. The Gargoyles Sunglasses stand-up was signed by Jr. Have a bunch of others - Pepsi, UD, K-Mart, Nintendo, Nike, Nabisco, etc. but...
Another Griffey, Jr. collector of 'everything' and have over 1200 signed items. Just had JSA cert a couple hundred items recently - posters, magazines, photos, bats, balls, uniforms, hats, a couple of golf balls, signed tickets and other odd/weird stuff. Amazing what one accumulates chasing...
I picked up one of these numbered 5015/5000 the year they were issued. Looks like there may be as many as 100 of these numbering errors out there. Certainly not worth the amount asked!!!
Just remember the old adage - "opinions are likea**holes - everybody has one" and you are certainly behaving like thelatter! This forum isn't for opinionated rants and most of us wouldappreciate you dropping the topic.

Could you pls post a pic of the 89 Playball with the MLB Logo? I've got three different '89 Action Superstars cards with the MLB Test Logo but have never seen the '89 Playball. Thanks!
As nice as these 2013 cards are - Vintage Jr. with a beautiful signature, we all had high hopes for Topps last year! How quickly our hopes were dashed as the dreaded 'stickers' resurfaced after they set the 'hooks' in us once again! We were fine through Tier 1 but then Triple Threads hit the...
Hi Steve, Check back on pg. 324 in this thread. I posted everything you need to know about the '98 Legacy Row 0 cards!! Bottom line is that you have described a fake.
I did and that prompted me to post in this thread to see who else was into these! Magic there are 6 variations for the '95 TSC Reed card. There's the regular issue, 1st day, reg w/MO stamp, virtual reality, virtual reality w/MO stamp and the WS stamp you found.
Came from two different special team sets. The more prevalent were in Wal mart Blister packs and included the 3x5 "Home Team Heroes" Jumbo card. Packs had 14 cards - 13 players plus the team header/CL. Wal mart packs cards numbered 1-13 with team prefix i.e. Mariners SM1 to SM13 with the...
Chris, I have the Cubs CC but not the NNO. I still need both Padres and the NNO cards for the Indians, Rockies, White Sox, Dodgers, Yankees and Rangers. Looks like we both have a ways to go!!
Griffey 'Cameo' Cards
Any other anal Jr. collectors besides me into Jr. 'cameo' cards? I'm looking for team header/CL cards from the '97 UDCC team sets. Cards have an image of Jr. on the backs. Both Beckett and SCD list 10 different teams but I've picked up 11 teams with the Cubs the one...
