I bet it happens a lot more than people think it would. One off the top of my head is the 2000 SP Authentic Chirography Sandy Koufax. It's definitely being faked in large numbers with a fake signature. And I've held one in hand. Card itself was off, not just the signature, so it's not just...
It's always been a personal favorite set of mine. I imagine the odds of pulling one would be horrible though, so I wouldn't recommend it. It's one of those mass produced junk type boxes, so odds are very much against you that you pull one. But even scrubs can go pretty high. Here is my stash:
Glad I wasn't the only one with this opinion. I am a pretty large seller, about 10 to 15 packages per day, 1000's a packages a year. I use the ebay tape. I've never had an item stolen or lost since using the tape. A thief is a thief. They are going to take packages, ANY PACKAGES, if they are...
Card number is 718, not 168. Card number 168 was the regular Donruss Preferred card. You have the Donruss Collections version of the card & the parallel Prized Collections (PC) at that. The number is on the back of the card just not as noticeable as 168
I think it may have more to do with the crappy player list than true rarity. Beyond Bonds and Eck, it's pretty weak. But in searching promos all the time, I don't stumble across them that often either, but I don't know if I would put them into the rare category.
I don't think so. If it's a dutch auction listing, and you buy multiples and that puts you over that $50 mark, then yes, but I don't think it can be used for different listings.
I might pay actual money for a confirmed checklist. I might lose sleep knowing at least 3 other Clark ones could exist. I'm loving my one, but now it just makes me think there is surely other variations. Did you get that white border Canseco from the seller too?
If I see a previously unknown Clark card, I'm going to try my hardest to land it regardless if it's on my need list, but the fact I assumed it to exist for the past 15 years, or at least since I first saw the Puckett and Ozzie's, it definitely encouraged me to work a little harder to get it. I...
Guilty as charged. Since it's one that was only a "speculating it may exist" on my want list, $300 was a bargain. I aimed for an offer that encouraged a yes from the seller. I'm not messing around with trying to outbid a few other big players, so I made a big play. Did you win the Canseco? I was...
Well, there goes my chance of ever selling that pull out of a Valiant box :)
I thought, that name sounds familiar, went and looked, and yep, I have a Valiant auto of his. Maybe they'll do an ESPN 30 for 30 on him
Although I can't pull up any literature proving it one way or the other, I'm not sure their information is completely accurate. The regular reprint wasn't pack inserted. Maybe some of the other Clark guys can confirm, but it was an odd set with odd redemptions.
There is an autographed one too. It's out of 88. The base Diamond King was out of 1,988. They may have both been a redemption. I'm not positive on that, but I am positive the insert Diamond King was a redemption. It's why most set collector's still need that particular normal looking Will Clark...
I've wanted the 2001 Donruss Diamond King Redemption Card of Will Clark. Not sure why Donruss chose to issue a non auto, not game used, basic serially numbered card as a redemption, but they did. I have the redeemed card but not the redemption that basically just has text info on it, not even a...
I have one of the Clark's. It's a so so card to me. I think there was some speculation they weren't even real, but I got 1 of the Clark's fairly cheap, so I took a gamble on it. I definitely haven't seen multiples surface.
Did you look at his other listings? Tons of replica, reprint & fake Ruth signatures. Reprint Mantle and Ruth cards galore. I'd have to say clear. Anyone who's that involved with this type of memorabilia would have it authenticated. And anyone with money to afford such an item should find a...
I've busted a few of the Indians boxes. I've always thought it had one of the better break potentials. Lots of semi stars to stars in the group. Good luck!
Finally picked up the Chattanooga Coin Sticker variation of Clark on COMC. Not sure it's exactly rare or anything, but it's a subtle variation I'm sure I've overlooked for years. I noticed a few players remain, including a Barry Bonds. If it wasn't for the posting of this Maas variation, I would...
That one on the right is definitely strange, almost bootleg or 3rd party type thing. That made in Taiwan sticker on the reverse rather than Pinnacle stamping on the metal just screams bootleg, but I don't know how big of a market those would be, if it would be worth it. Even Ripken's shoulder or...
