...today's the day.
"The 16-person committee will meet on Sunday, then vote Monday only hours before the 11 a.m. PT announcement." 2pm EST........
I really have no sense as to who, if anyone, will get the 12 votes.
Pedro's famous quote from 2004 ALCS after pitching game 2 in New York- "I actually realized that I felt like somebody important, because I caught the attention of 60,000, plus you guys, plus the whole world, watching a guy that is, you reverse the time back 15 years ago, I was sitting under a...
I just do not think he is a lock to make it this year. Is he a HOFer, yes, but I see him coming up short.
I think he and Curt Schilling should both make it, mostly for being all-time-great post season pitchers. This in addition to being dominant starters in the steroids era and having the...

2 rock solid locks- Pedro and Randy. Biggio also gets in this year (3rd year on ballot). Smoltz makes it another year and Piazza also comes up just short.
Belated big shout out to Mike/@elmalo for making this available to me. I now have a complete vintage (1968) signed Yaz autobiography, to go along with my book with a missing page ;) (which is still in my childhood autograph album).
I do think they look good, though my opinion matters not with the authenticators ;). Good luck in submitting them.

Yes, absolutely!! Great find!!
I met Yaz as a kid and had him sign this exact book. I foolishly cut the signature out of the book. I would be very interested in this if you want to move it.
Awesome, can't wait to see it. After now researching, that could be mucho-bucks!! Congrats!!!
Keillors a dupe so its yours for sure. I'm so behind on my inventory and scans. At the rate I'm going I'll find a Carter myself before we work out a deal :-D::facepalm::

Been a while since I had a signed book score. Found 7 at a local Goodwill over weekend:
Jackie Collins, Garrison Keillor, Scott Brown, Julie Garwood, William Cohen, Cindy Blodgett, Al Gore (2nd VP signed book that I have found).
Always loved Molitor as a player. This gets me thinking, has any HOF player, after being elected to hall, achieved success as a manager? No one comes to mind so I've got to research.

Yes, lost to Yankees in 4 games. He was 43 years old at the time.
He's certainly carved out a tremendous career as a manager. Like they say, catchers make great managers.
Next opportunity for Belle will be under the Expansion Era Committee. "The Expansion Era Committee will next meet in the fall of 2016 for consideration of candidates for the Class of 2017."

I love a lot of these guys including Tiant, a real lot!! However, I do not see any of them getting in. I know Kaat and Tiant compare favorably to Catfish Hunter but he had many World Series wins.
Boyer rates very highly as a...
