Went last year and had a wonderful time. If you have an opportunity, try to do the Safeco Stadium tour earlier in the day. You are given the chance to really explore every nook and cranny of the park and even walk on the field for photos. It was an amazing experience. We went last year...
Anytime you're talking about number of seasons, you have to include the initial year. Again, it's the 50th anniversary by number of seasons (or sets they've put out), not by years.
The 1991 Topps set had a "40 years" logo at the top left corner. The 2001 Heritage set is based on "50 years" of...
I keep seeing this comment on different forums that they screwed up and it's the 49th anniversary. That's incorrect. It's the 50th anniversary by season. 1952 was the first year of Topps. 2001 was the 50th year of Topps. I don't understand why this is so difficult to comprehend.
Thanks. Yeah, I agree with you...I think I have a Tom Seaver from either 2011 or 2012 in that all sparkle design. Which, is a super cool looking card. Just looking for the complete checklist for gold cards...
Thanks!
I assume Topps does not make gold cards (#/2017, /2018, etc) for their recent year variations or short prints. Is this a correct assumption? The gold cards would only be associated with the base Topps cards and none of the other SPs, photo variations, sparkles, etc?
Thanks!
Thanks for the ideas. Tradingcarddb looks like the perfect solution. Did not know it existed. Looks to have a nice sort feature and even photos and a printable view. Perfect.
This is such a simple question that it probably is right under my nose. I previously used teamsets4u.com, but it appears that hasn't really been updated seriously in the last few years. I'm looking for a way to check team checklists for Topps flagship and Update for the past 20 years. Need...
I have never believed that only 241 copies exist of each of these refractors. It seems like there are hundreds more just based on ebay listings on a monthly basis.
Wanted to chime in on this. I’m not an expert, but here’s what I understand. The 1980 World Series ball shown here is an official Rawlings baseball. It should be nearly identical to the ones released in 1980. The logo is the same, Bowie Kuhn’s stamped signature is on it, etc. It is...
My quick take on this-
I chased quite a few baseball autographs 15-20 years ago and built some team sets. I’ve noticed in general that the quality of professional sports autographs from younger athletes has declined. The Chris Sale auto is a great example. I have shelves of White Sox autos...
I just looked at my 2005 Topps factory set earlier, and the cards even stick a little bit together. I've separated this one before and put them in order. At least the junk era 80s cards and the Heritage sets don't have this problem :)
Is this really being shady? I mean, the '93 Jeter SP card is well sought after, right? He's the owner of the box. He's not breaking any rules. He can list it for a $1,000,000 if he wants. Nobody has to buy it.
The last time I had this problem was with a 2001 Topps set, just trying to put it in order. What a disaster. 2002 and 2003 were awful too. Not sure, but is still an issue even with more recent sets?
