I enjoy hearing stories, especially from the veteran TEK collectors, on how they put together their larger collections back in the early days of Ebay. How much of your collection came from opening boxes? Did you use any of the Usenet forums way back in the late 90s? Ebay used to allow direct...
I still need Robin Ventura TEK 27, 79 and 82. I know Carl listed those above in his list, but if you want to help me directly, I much appreciate it!
Good luck everyone. Glad to see some of you guys finally finishing this quest.
I can’t get penny sleeves to fit in my Ultra Pro pockets anymore. This happened about ten years ago. The penny sleeves seem to now be made ever so wider. I also would like to know ebay sleeves will fit.
Hi,
Quick question - hope this isn't silly.
Other than the opening day "banner" logo, what are the other differences between the Opening Day set and Topps Flagship?
In the past, the border has sometimes been a different color on Opening Day, but I'm not seeing that this year since there are...
Yeah, that was my thinking. It will be a hell of a project. The cards are out there, theoretically at least, with 2000 copies of each one, but the shear quantity of cards....660 plus another 330 perhaps, would just make it tough.
I collect all of the Heritage master sets and have put together a nice run. I don’t consider these SSP cards as part of the master sets, and that really started in 2006 with the ridiculous Alex Gordon cut out card. This is a novelty card, and certainly no need to lose sleep over not owning it.
#/2018, 2017, 2016, etc?
Seems like this would be a decently tough endeavor, but kinda fun. You'd likely never make your money back if you had to sell, but that's not why we collect. Anyone put this set together EVERY year? That would be quite the fun quest.
