TEK ALERT! Burbank added a bunch of Tek to Beckett recently. I just snagged all the Diffractors, but they were commons. I shudder to think what was available if I got the leftovers.
Anyway, a bunch of base listed. Good luck!
Looks like the people who loved them will pay a lot for them. I just looked at a few ended listings and WOW. Thank you for finding this... very interesting.
Thank you! Since I already store mine flat and it's for my own viewing pleasure, I might do it. Still wish they had those awesome cases like they do for coins. Those are awesome.
I did a little Google research, and there doesn't seem to be much info out there - must not be very popular. But I really prefer to store my cards in albums.
Does anyone have any info on how to do this?
This guy says he just uses 4-pocket ultra pro sheets which surprised me that would even...
But it looks like you still paid at least $100 each? That's enough to scare us off from some of our PC guys.
I think the view of Beltre has really changed over the past year or two. He's now a shoo-in HOFer. There was a 1999 Tek Gold /10 on COMC for over a year at $15. It wouldn't last one...
Question about 1999 Finest Refractors. I noticed the back of my GEMS subset card has no refractor finish. I noticed the back of my Sterling subset card does have a refractor finish. I do not have a Gamers subset card. I looked at the back of refractors on COMC, but I cannot tell from their...
#2 is good point. It seems like this card just sold already within the past year, so if the intention all along was to resell that's a good way of looking at it - covering your butt.
#1 is irrelevant to me because I am immortal.
I just realized this card will soon have six HOFers on it. Even though some were well on their way, they were not slam dunks in 1996. Chipper was the riskiest at the time with just one full season under his belt. The football one comes close, but they had some easy selections (Marino and Rice)...
Just found this topic...
I remember when Beckett listed these in their checklists I was kinda disgusted as a Rusty Greer collector. How was I going to find them? How was I going to afford them? It made it easier to move away from the hobby for my ten-year hiatus. To me, they are a completely...
Another BMB here... assuming that means Beckett message board. I can't recall what I received, but I remember I gave up a Duke Snider auto out of Retro (I think?). He was irritated that Duke signed the back of the card and that I did not tell him. I had no idea the front was supposed to be...
