In no particular order:
1-3: 1914 Cracker Jacks 52 Wheat, Ruelbach, Daubert
4: T205 Wilhelm full "suffered" (the more common variation has the "r" missing
5: 1976 Walter Payton rookie
6: 1952 Bowman Large (football) Stydahar (super tough card)
7-9: 1957 Topps (baseball) Big Blony checklist 3/4...
I took a $2.63 flyer on the Shawn Green (Dodgers version). If it's not legit, I'm not out less that $6 overall. I'll scan it when it arrives - should be on Saturday.
It just might be that the Dodgers have really good pitching. Saw a stat last night that blew my mind:
2016 NLCS: 22.2 IP, 18 runs, .283 OPP AVG
2017 NLCS: 8 IP, 0 runs, .000 OPP AVG
I knew last year's pen was just awful in the postseason (but was a HUGE part in getting them there in the first...

TL;DR
Collectors Universe member pulls Strasburg auto super redemption on 10/7/17. Redemption expired on 9/30/13. Card was graded by Beckett on 11/7/13.
ouch
Hooray - another Cracker Jack! Otto Miller caught for three incarnations of the Brooklyn Base Ball Club: Superbas, Dodgers and Robins. Miller, 1889-1962, died when he fell from a hospital window after he had eye surgery. Yikes!
Three down, three to go. Unfortunately one of them is Zack...
This has been an ongoing "problem" for me for quite some time now, and i'm not sure whether it's just one more sign of being a middle-aged collector, or that I'm burned out and maybe need to think about retiring my Butler collection.
It wasn't that long ago, maybe two years ago or so, that I...
I'm pretty sure the FVF will only be charged if, and only if, a seller had contact with a prospective buyer using eBay's messaging system about a product the seller was offering, and then said product all of a sudden was no longer for sale.
Without that verifiable contact through eBay, there's...
The first questions I have is how can they prove a sale was or wasn't made off eBay, and like you asked, how is it legal to charge a FVF for an item that wasn't even sold in the first place? Sounds super shady.
Carl, I'm down to just two cards: and yes, they're both SPs!
I'm going to go ahead and paste my whole Turkey Red list - it's a small list all the way around.
Grey border: 332 (Mauer) 405 (Damon) 430 (Ortiz - Twins) 449 (Swisher) 467 (Buehrle)
Red border: 305 (Ripken) 497 (Cantu)
Black border...
A bit of a lull since my last pickup, but today breaks the dry spell.
The Rucker is my 2nd Brooklyn Cracker Jack. I landed the Hummel a few months ago.
Goes very nice with the Hummel I picked up earlier this year.
Still trying to chip away at a few:
* 2002 Topps 206 Dodgers master mini set (minus the /5 and /1 Bazookas)
* 2004 Topps World Series programs
* 2006 Topps Declaration of Independence
* 2006 Topps Turkey Red red border master set
I'm pretty excited about my latest pickup. I've been admiring these from a distance ever since I completed the Brooklyn Turkey Red set. With 8% eBay bucks and 5% eBates cash back, I pulled the trigger on this beat up (but authentic) specimen. Very, very pleased.
Great Berk Ross pickups, Danny! Love the Dimaggio!
I just paid for a 94-card lot (all different) of 1955 Bowman yesterday. Some of the key cards are pictured below. Not bad for an average of <$3 a card.
Reminds me of the time Jeff Kent was "washing his truck". That was also a motorcycle accident - the glaring difference being that Kent lied his ass off about what happened.
