I have a couple of arrivals to report. The Jordan/Herzog arrived last week, and the Jordan came in this afternoon. I didn't think I'd pick up the J/H (it has a filthy NY Giant on it, after all!), but I was satisfied with the price. I love the solo Jordan - in person the color is much more...
Well, crap. Now I need to keep my eyes peeled for even more? Would love to hear confirmation on ID/IA/WY/OH. Hadn't ever heard of a KS variation for 1993, or the possibility of VA "no year"
Goose is 100% right on bat flips. These punk-ass kids need to respect the game like the legends of the past.

I'm SO glad I got out of the Heritage game in '09. Collecting master sets used to be fun and somewhat doable, but it got crazy in '09 when SSPs got crazy. The year before with the Smoltz and Santana was the beginning of the end.
In the same boat on the '92 Black Gold. The Butler is on my...
Yep - looks like Chance is the only one of your players that has more than the standard green/blue infield variations:
I got the checklist from teamsets4u. Dee Walsh is erroneously listed as a Yankee - he should be in the St. Louis Browns list.
The Yankees checklist doesn't look too intimidating.

Frank Chance

Roy Hartzell

The guy that sold me my last T3 offered me a couple of Brooklyn B18s for $100 delivered. I have no idea if that's a good value or not, plus I'm not sure they're a good fit for my collection in the first place.
Edit: after a little research, it looks like there are 9 total Brooklyn players in...
I've been anxiously waiting to post to the vintage thread. I ordered this on 1/2, and it finally arrived after being lost/delayed/whatever back in Massachusetts.
My fifth Brooklyn T-3, and my first horizontal.
Brian, have you ever known why Hank was traded to Pittsburgh? I certainly didn't.

That's a beautiful set - '50, '51, '52 and '53 Color are all gorgeous, actually.
Thanks for showing off your progress. We'll look forward to more updates.
I thought I heard that Jeff was opening another shop.
Like every town/city in the country, there used to be some decent shops in Modesto. An older guy named Jose had one out on Oakdale that I used to visit quite often. Then he moved to a spot on McHenry which wasn't nearly as good, and then I...
Ugh. Ugly cards, rough-looking gold sigs. Looking at sold auctions, people are getting crushed on the base cards. I can't imagine most case hits will even come close to getting the breaker back to even. It'd have to be a monster hit to make any money.
I hope Puig is part of the package. The longer we hold on to him, the bigger the distraction and cancer he becomes. If Andy Van Slyke is to be believed, Kershaw wants him gone. When the face of your franchise wants someone gone, it needs to happen.
Another great read, Tanner.
My personal faves: Chuck Norris...
* can lead a horse to water and make it drink.
* is so fast, he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head.
* can kill two stones with one bird.
* can count to infinity... twice.
* can slam a revolving door.

i can imagine this contract haunting Arizona in four years. I can imagine a comparable one haunting the Dodgers or Giants had they landed him.
Another red flag to some is the absence of any roller marks on any of the other 19 cards. It does seem weird that certain characteristics of the Clemente aren't present on the others.
