Never even heard of it....The only thing I know of is the 1997 Topps Stars Always Mint parallel and the 1997 Topps Minted in Canton. Is this a set that was never made?
Good Luck - These have to be the most unervalued cards out there. I still have never to this day seen a single Beckett Gold Sample of Larkin. By far some of the hardest non-serial #'d cards to find. I still need quite a few of the silver versions!
When I want to know what best offer price was accepted, I just search sold listings for a very broad range serach that would include the given card. Then I sort the results by highest price. It will sort it based on the offer that was accepted, even though it doesn't say exactly what it is...
Just scan your cards and upload them into photobucket, or some other similar site. Then you can either post the IMG link or the thumbnails link. You can also view your post before you send it to make sure the picture is showing up right. I believe you click on teh "Go Advanced" button to see...
Dang - I missed the game last night. He had 4 stolen bases last night! That's awesome. He is really fun to watch. I don;t recall being so excited to watch a guy run the bases since Rickety Henderson was in his prime. An before anyone yells at me.....I'm not comparing him to Rickey...
Here's one:
Don't auto-replace 7 Barry Larkin Auto's that I spent over $700 on with 7 crappy autos of players I don't care about, that I can't sell for more than $10 a piece. If you have to have redemptions and sometimes you can't come through on them, at least make an attempt to give the...
I don't understand everyone talking about all of these extra expenses to ship something. I have a box of 25 bubble mailers I bought for like 10 cents a peice. When i sell something I click like 3 buttons, print out the label with DC, tape it to the bubble mailer and stick it in the mailbox. I...
To each his own I guess. For some reason, it seems like Barry Larkin diffractors just don't come up for sale that often. I hardly ever see them. For the longest time I had Zero of them until Rinkart sold me a couple of his doubles. I still only have 3. And in the rare cases that his...

I was thinking the same thing you mentioned in this post. This card is far more rare than a Mantle RC, even a high grade one. There are always Mantle RC's for sale, this card may never become available again.
I agree with you there - The Super Raves from that year were pretty weak in design IMO. The Diamond Destony cards on the other hand were a great design.
I think the board members who frequent the Super Sweet 90's thread can attest to this. The prices being paid for the really rare 90's inserts has skyrocketed in recent years, at least for the really good players. 5-10 years ago I would never have imagined paying what I have recently for some of...
I'm kind of suprised this brought 3x what the Super Rave /25 did. I know the Golds are very tough to find, but I have been able to locate and buy 3 of those for Larkin overthe last couple years. I have never even seen a Super Rave. Just seems suprising to me.
Unless I am missing something, this card doesn't appear to be that damaged. The damage I am seeing is somewhat common on cards like this. Definitely not enough to keep me from going after the card if I wanted it. There will never be another, so I think that makes being Gem Mint les important...
