Unfortunately that is what I was doing! I bought 10 different Barry Larkin auto redemptions from 2011 Triple Threads and 2011 Museum collection. About 6 months ago, I get a bunch of letters in the mail saying that they wouldn't be able to fill any of them and they were sending me replacements...
This is ridiculous but I am not surprised. I have been gone from the hobby completely for a few months now, solely because I was so angry with Topps. They basically screwed me out of over $1,000 worth of redemptions and couldn't even bother to respond to my phone calls or emails. I was so mad...
I think the seller just made up the name "Executive Gold Edge". I have bought a lot of bankruptcy/promo cards from this seller in the past. He is an honest seller and usually accepts reasonable offers. Not sure why he has these particular ones priced so high though.
Just saw this - I have been out of town for work a lot lately. I'll take the Larkin slot. I have never really done breaks before, so if someone could shoot me a PM and let me know what I need to do (as far as payment and stuff) I would appreciate it. Should be fun - Thanks!

I don't have one of these variations, so I wouldn't say it is a very common error. I do have quite a few "No Foil" errors from various sets around that time frame. They normally sell for a little bit of a premium, but nothing crazy - probably $5-$8 or so I would think. I...
I actually have multiples of every single Larkin legacy card from the 90's except for the 1997 Row 0, which I still don't have one of. Definitely the toughest of the Legacy cards.
Awesome - I knew there were some people here that would have knowledge about these kinds of sets. You Will Clark collectors seem to be the oddball Masters :)
I have what I believe to be a pretty extensive collection of "Game Cards" for Barry Larkin. When I say "Game cards", I am referring to Strat-O-Matic, APBA, Dynasty League, Statis-Pro (Avalon Hill), Replay Games, Etc. I still seem to occasionally find new ones that I have never heard of before...
I could care less honestly if it is licensed or not - I have seen just as many licensed cards that look like crap as I have unlicensed cards. Most of the nicest cards I have bought over the last few years have been unlicensed. I really think it depends on the individual card and product. I am...
I knew you would know something about these :) So do I have the enhanced "Winner" version here? Is it just a coincidence that I have never seen these, or did not many of them get redeemed?
I just picked up this card that I had never seen before. It wasn't even on my checklist. Are these rare?....and what is the story with this card?

Does everyone really agree that what Rose did when he was done playing and was a manager is equivalent to what these other guys did while they were playing? I my mind, they are completely different. Rose should be judged for what he did while he was a player. I realize the voters have no say...
That is one hell of a find - I paid $160 for the Larkin. It was the only one I have ever seen. I would think the Ryan would sell for significantly more. I would list at a high Buy it now and field best offers.
I have these same 3 as well. Not sure how they were distributed though. There is also the Fanfest Green border promo cards. Portraits had a lot of samples/promos that year.
