I won Checklist #1. Not excited about the writing on the back, but the price was cheaper than any I have seen previously. I am sure if I waited long enough, I could have got a clean copy for about the same or cheaper, but I just didn't feel like waiting any longer. Happy to have this crossed...
Is the seller still going to honor the free shipping for FCB members if we mention it? Being that the previous thread was axed, not sure how many saw it?
Not sure I would say rare, but definately less quantity than the patterns 1-15. Patterns 16-20 are are all colors and have a 5 x multiplier per beckett. Not that the multiplier means much, but from what I have seen, they show up way less often. The gold versions of these are very cool...
The color tek versions used to sell for a lot more than they currently do, most of the Andruw's used to sell for $10-15 a piece up until a few years ago. So with that said, I am sure there must be enough of an AROD following to still command decent prices for those. Of course it could be a tek...
I have both of the Andruw Jones autos they offered. These are very nice looking cards and great for autos. Sadly I don't have them scanned to share right now.
Not sure about the set or PSA's population report, but for what it is worth, there are 5 Griffey Diamond Producers graded by BGS and none are gems. (2) 9's, (2) 8.5's, and one 8. So maybe that card is condition sensitive?
Currently at 318 of 388 tickets to games that Andruw Jones hit a HR. 82%
I may never get to 100%, but I am happy to have gotten this close. Anyone that collects older tickets realizes how difficult of a project this is.
He raised the price on the Andruw Jones too and I didn't make an offer. Chances are he upped the price on all of the cards. Last night he had them all priced at book value and was not accepting anything over 40% offers. I tried 50% and said the hell with it.
On a side note, I am almost sure...
A common question people have is how many diffractors of each pattern were produced. Most seem to think it is 5 or 10. Do you have an opinion on this and what is the most copies you have seen of 1 diffractor pattern? Being that you have been building this set for a while, your opinion should...
Some recent pickups. Not every day you can snag 3 cards #'d to 10. Thanks to Fandruw25 for working out a deal with me. Sorry for the 2000, but I had to show off all 3.
Did we ever find out who this person is? Again, I would like to get in touch with the guy as well, assuming it is not togaman as I already know what he has. Thanks!
Looking at the link gracecollector listed, my guess is his diffractor sets are not every pattern. I can't imagine he has every diffractor pattern in 1 set and the ones he needs for the 2nd set are that few. So I would feel safe saying noone has a diffractor set with every pattern.
Just because he knew does not make the shipping cost reasonable? With that line of thinking, the seller knew what he was charging and how he planned to send it. If he intended to pocket the rest, he knew there was a chance he would get dinged on DSR's. As someone already stated, make it free...
Faneuil Hall area is nice, has some nice restaurants. Boston isn't much of a night life place however, you will likely be kicked out of most bars by 1:30am. There are nicer places to eat in Boston than the Faneuil hall area, but if that is where you are heading, The Black Rose is where I would...
Well, the cards do have a silver border. I would have to say Topps is horrible on this one. Apparently someone on their end screwed up the packaging and they just said the hell with it. Or they just decided to name them black even though they have a silver border. Either way, I think Topps...
I doubt anyone will try to complete the set. Would be ridiculously expensive if they did and no room for losing out on many as you may never see one again.
With that said, I won the Pujols/Chipper/Andruw Active HR leaders for under $40 delivered which I considered a half decent price. While I...
So I finally snagged an orange today and realized there were 3 others I supposedly need. There not very many on ebay/COMC in any color, so they seem rare regardless of which you need.
Looks like the blues are the rarest and may be 1/1's
I have seen purples, but Beckett also lists a Lavender...
