Sorry for low quality photos. Looks like there should be some fun stuff in here! Ryan Bradley International Refractor 93/100 and Ruben Rivera Essential Credentials 61/99. Not the best players but cool cards.
Kia Ora! I live in the quiet coastal town of Timaru. It's roughly 2.5 hours south of Christchurch and 2.5 hours north of Dunedin. Timaru itself is a bit boring but it's a great location to get out and see the South Island from. What were your favourite spots on the trip?
Since moving to New Zealand I haven't had many chances to scratch my collecting itch. I still purchase cards on eBay and have them shipped to my family in the states but that's not quite the same as having cards "in hand". There's a site called Trade Me here which is sort of a hybrid...
Pretty happy to get this lot for less than the price of a blaster. The combo memorabilia were a tough pull at just 1 in 4 boxes. The Kendall is the second shortest print from the set at just 50 copies. Eric Chavez /325, Manny Ramirez /350, Magglio Ordonez /325, Pedro Martinez /300, Scott Rolen...
Already showed this off in the Super Sweet 2000s thread but figured it was nice enough to post here too. 2002 Fleer Greats Wade Boggs Through the Years Level 3 #7 /25
I'm not sure if Jim Thome collectors are still in a feeding frenzy but I picked up this 1998 Topps Gold Label Red #100 /100 for what I thought was a decent price. The numbering was a nice bonus too.
Got these two patch cards for a decent price. The Harper is numbered 19/25 and from a set you don't see pop up very often on eBay. Any idea what the bottom patch on the Freeman is from?
It's tough to tell from the photo but it's a 1997 SPX Mark McGwire Grand Finale /50. I'm not a big McGwire guy but I thought it was a fair price ($50) so I said, why not?
I lived in Spokane (near nature, near perfect - lol!) so I was speaking in jest, although there was always talk of the "Tacoma Aroma". The Rainiers are a great franchise.
I wrote some words about A-Rod: https://vivalavidro.wordpress.com/2015/04/26/redemption-song-a-rod-slugs-his-way-out-of-purgatory/
What are your thoughts on the issue?
I wish the fronts looked as good as the backs. It seems like a good, inexpensive way to dip my toes in the vintage water though. I'll let you know when I get a chance to grade them.
