That is why I said I believe it to be left of the original rant, however I do not believe the difference is as drastic as you. Both are simply taking a otherwise mass produced card, sticking a numbered stamp on it and calling it limited. The process in how, why, or when this happens is not major...
Not for nothing, and this is not directed at you either, but even though it is slightly left of your comment, some would say the same thing about all the 'parallels' of modern cards that simply have a foil numbered stamp and perhaps a different colored border. It's a blurred line but history...
Just my humble observation, but it seems that every year since it has come out you have seen less and less talk and/or collaboration online about it. On the surface one could think this equates to less interest but I honestly just think people are getting smarter and keeping it closer to the vest.

He is just a guy who has a good bit of disposable money and collects cards. There is nothing significant about him (as far as I know, I mean I'm sure he is a good guy in his own right), other than his buying habit(s).
The important part you perhaps glossed over...
And as everyone who appraises items for insurance purpose, items of significant value and rarity, always use at least a multiplier of 2 if not more. Having said that, I feel the rarity and significance of this find/collection is easily a $500,000...
After a quick inspection of available images, I can conclude that the autographed cards in question all employ different pens, colors, pressures, slants and angles, and overall different penmanship(s) amongst them. Although not conclusive, I believe they would have a better than average chance...
This far in to the season, it is absolutely time to begin the discussion. Obviously there are others as well in the mix, but to have a discussion about potential MVP candidates and not include Abreu at this point would be fruitless. Amazing RC season for sure! Also, if he can stay healthy...
There is a fundamental reason companies like Topps do not sell direct to customers (end users). That being they have far greater control over where and how their product is distributed, it is being distributed in larger package sizes, but more importantly every middleman (RE: LCS owners, ect..)...
If the package was not tampered with then there can only be 2 logical reasons as per Occam's razor.
1. You are lying (or at the very least sent a empty mailer).
2. He is lying.
I'm not sure how it is going to play out but I would not want to be in your shoes.
EDIT: Just curious while I sit...
I usually toss the bubble mailer on my book shelf or desk until I can get some free time to open it in peace. Usually within a week or three I will open it, quickly inspect the card, then tuck it back in the bubble mailer and put it back on the shelf or desk for some time between a few days to a...
I know it is hard to quantify 2 completely different type of players, but if you had to chose, who would you say had the better career?
I think the high profile team and 'flair' gives Kobe an edge for me, however I have a soft spot for fundamentals and Duncan with his no-nonsense game play...
Forgive me if I am out of line here, but I do not think anyone is disputing that fact. Everyone knows that to be a eBay rule. Having said that, I believe the real issue being discusses here (left of the topic) is that what one pays to ship varies depending on the shipper. I believe this has been...
