Bonds was a awesome talent, but I cant help but think.....
If I were on the Giants roster and fell under the umbrella that Bonds will be offering advice/assistance to, I would look at it/him as if to say "but you were a cheater juicer, banned from baseball. Why the hell should I listen to...
I am by no means the pulse of the hobby on this, but I would not pay a penny of a premium on a RCR. All it does is offer a non-guaranteed second hand opinion, one you will have to re-pay for in order to have it re-graded and slabbed. I would rather buy raw. Just my 2...
I think you are over emotionalizing it a bit. Sure there is a good core sample of users (like me) that despite the shortcomings will migrate back, however many users, with habitual down time, will simply go elsewhere and every time they are forced to go elsewhere there is a chance they are going...
Just a idea but.....
Perhaps you could make a auction where users could sell stuff and the proceeds could go directly to a FCB PayPal account...
So, for instance, the users could every once in a while add a card to the FCB auction(s), once it sells they ship the card as usual but the sale goes...
Initially many thought that as well, but it seems to be more than that.
I believe he was actually invited/accepted, spend a large amount of cash in preparation, then after the fact was told 'not to come'...
This is the gist of it from what I understand anyhow...
I edited in a bunch more if you feel like re-reading...
But yes, I do understand what you are saying, however if you understand my refrence in the part you quoted you would see that history dictates the winner is the one who creates oppertunity, not wallows in the lack there of.
If you can't use the railway, build your own pipeline. Instead of lawsuits and whining, companies like LEAF and ITG need to start thinking out of the box, redefine their means towards success and change the status quo. Do you want to pick up crumbs or bake your own loaf? This is the question...
Probably a nice Tom Seaver on card auto. My dad has always been a fan of his and I would love to give him one. Come to think of it, I will probably just buy one for him in a PSA/DNA flip...
Hopefully you can get it all sorted...
I would be lying if I said I did not leave FCB a few times over the past weeks/months simply because of lag & long load times. Good luck.
The answer is there, just not the one you are fishing for. I prefer the totality of ones career over a simple, single, and usually insignificant instance. And without seeing the 'crunch' numbers, I would still pick Murray. He was a fierce competitor, devastating switch hitter, and a heck of a...
1992? I was in the closet with a flashlight, pie tin, and a stack of 1992 Topps scratch offs. Loading up on Stadium Club to cash in just like in 1991. Loading up on unopened wax of Bowman because my LCS heard the production run was slashed, rooting through closet boxes to pull and sell Ho Jo...
I agree that there is not much to argue, I'd take Murrays 20+ year career with over 3200 hits and 500+ HR's (including 1600+ Runs, almost 5400 total bases, multiple GG's, SS's, AS's, and a 6 time top 5 MVP vote getter), and a HOF induction.
