I'd go back to 2008 and hoard Verlanders. Although you could still have paid $50 for BC refractor autos in early 2011 and turned them into $100 bills less than 6 months later.
Why you would post this when you're not even sure is beyond me, but yes, it is a 1/1 card. Yes, there are 5 different proof colors, making the card 1/1. No, no other blue proof of that card exists. But no matter whether you know it or not, my description says "card is unnumbered, but this is...
Have the following for trade. Also have base for Rookies & Stars, Longevity, Gridiron, and a few other sets if anyone needs any. Looking for Calvin Johnson, Stephen Hill, Felix Jones, LaMichael James, or current Packers. Will also trade baseball for cards I need.
Egnew, Michael (MIA) 2012 Topps...
I applaud the masterminds of both sites - both changed when they needed to, and are no worse off for it in my opinion. I applaud the members here who keep this community alive and able to serve the interests of many different collectors/flippers/rippers. I think both sites are poised to have...
Disappointed in the centering on my 2 RG3 cards - did not pull any Lucks - the Richardson prism looks beautiful to me. Here's the rest of the non-base:
Austin, Miles (DAL) 2012 Topps Chrome 14 refractor
Miller, Von (DEN) 2012 Topps Chrome 22 refractor
Benjamin, Travis (CLV) 2012 Topps Chrome...
I could use the Weeks Artifacts GU and Posey, but that's all I still need. Maybe a Trumbo BC if needed to even up a deal. Still have the Gonzalez - what else do you want?
Dead thread - only have the Wright left (don't want to trade the Myers for either of those cards).
I'm a modern collector - the Bowman and Topps sets. Topps Chrome - still need #174 from 2012. And working on the international Bowman parallels. Finished 2011, and still need about 20 from 2012. At some point I might look into going back and working on previous Bowman international sets.
I know it's not the popular opinion around here, but I always liked J.J.'s glove better than Escobar's. No doubt Escobar made, and continues to make, amazing plays, but J.J. was just so solid. In either case, it's now 30 years without a winner for the Brewers (Braun is no gold-glover, but...
From baseball reference. Do you even look this stuff up? Theriot, Crawford, Pence, and Blanco all started significantly in the World Series. In case you don't want to bother:
All players with 200 at-bats, except for Cody Ross, who I added in to match up the player totals. Posey and...
From what I found, it was 1:24 packs and 1:6 jumbos in 2012 as well. Which I think I remember only getting 1 per hobby box, so that seems right. Which is too bad - I think the silver ice are pretty nice.
Agreed. Pythagorean backs it up:
2010 - 92-70, should have been 94-68 - not lucky at all
2012 - 94-68, should have been 88-74 - much luckier
Aubrey Huff in 2010 was an almost-5 WAR player who finished 7th in MVP voting, so it's kind of ridiculous to say they didn't have an MVP candidate in...
That is awesome! Picked up my Cy Young Prospects auto for $22.51 when it came out - shortly after I started collecting again, so at the time that was about the most I had ever paid for a card. I loved that set.
I should have these:
Orange Refractors
96 Chipper Jones
97 Yadier Molina
146 Aramis Ramirez (have to double check this one)
Xfractors
191 Drew Smyly RC
Refractors
80 Albert Pujols
90 Evan Longoria
144 Mike Trout
Would be looking for other refractors in trade, particularly any of these...
Great - thanks. Good luck!
Yeah, if you can say you did well with no Hamilton or Castellanos or Paxton or Soler autos, that is pretty good. Guess I'm just spoiled by Topps Chrome in terms of color.
