Just signed up (thanks!) and have a question:
Do you have any plans to also add rookie card autos to the list for players that have prospect autos? For instance, I'm more interested in Jason Heyward's 2010 Bowman autos than his 2008 autos, but for some (wrong) reason I was under the impression...
It does indeed sound like they're cracking down, but it could be new people as well. If their profit is being calculated based on the mailing rates for letters and packages and such that they publicize, no wonder they're bleeding money based on just the examples in this thread of sellers trying...
Sending in the following 20-day submissions. 12 cards total - 2 autos - $81.56 (plus $2.90 for insurance for $200)
2010 #200A Bowman Chrome Autograph Jason Heyward 9.0
2010 #BDP30 Bowman Chrome Draft Blue Refractor Mike Stanton #078/199 9.0

Nowhere did I ever state or imply that was his ceiling. I am well aware that he was only 18 and the average pitcher was 24 and his stats at AA were pretty much those of the average hitter (also age 24), and blah blah blah. I was simply responding to the assertion that Harper "crushed others"...
Sorry - should I have clarified I meant "in the minor leagues". Don't see a lot of Angels games here in the midwest, but Trout has not been too impressive yet in the major leagues.
Is the 2007-version of Corey Hart "equivalent" enough for you?
wOBA - .380
SLG - .539
OBP - .353
wRC+ - 128...
Unless you're punting saves, I would take that trade in a heartbeat. Tulo had 20 more HR and 39 more RBI last year, plus 13 more XBH and another 140 points in OPS. Castro hit .005 better than him, scored 10 more runs, and stole 13 more bases. There is an injury concern, but not enough to...
OP never mentioned his age, only that his slow start didn't prevent him from "crushing" others. I wouldn't say that anyone who statistically compared to Drew Stubbs 2010 season crushed anyone, regardless of how old they were. But I get that he's only 19, so being Drew Stubbs at age 19 will...
The "first 8 games" is the sum total of the sample size, so it is not a "small sample size". It is a fact - Heyward hit 3 more HRs in his first 8 games than Bryce Harper did. Harper may hit 50 this year, or he may hit more in the rest of his career, but one thing I can tell you for certain is...
+1. Heyward had 3 HRs and 10 RBIs after his first 8 games.
Harper has been pretty impressive though. Too bad the team was winning more without him than they are with him.
Anyone have a problem uploading larger jpg's? Mine's 1.25MB, so it appears to be within the maximum size allowed, but I could not get it to upload last night. Had no problem uploading 2 smaller ones. I know everyone wants to see my Rickie Weeks rainbow, so I must get it uploaded or else this...
Thanks, but didn't see anything I could use right now.
Thanks for the offer, but that's a little out of my price range (though certainly one I'd love to have).
Looking for raw or graded chrome autos from 2010 Bowman. Will buy or trade - my picasa is pretty much up to date. Please let me know if you have any you're looking to move.
Or he plans to sell the cards to launch a foundation for youth baseball players in Ventura County, Calif.

PSA would probably grade your first guess a 1, but you might get a 4 or 5 on your second guess.
Did the dealer tell you that he only paid $500 for it? It seems to me like they were just trying to pull one over on you. Seems like too fantastical of a story to me. Echoing what others said, that this "new to the hobby" person would:
1) happen to pull the card in the first place
2) ask...
I've definitely found that to be the case as well. And this seems like the overriding theme - most cards are priced to where they would normally sell at about 50% or less of the listed price.
As a seller, even if you price much more in accordance with actual sell value, you will still end up...
