Bring it on!!!
The funny thing about this new wave of cards it that no new Thompsons have popped up. As a matter of fact since Lange has began listing packs and cards only one Thompson has been listed and that was in the first round of listings. I lost that one to a guy trying to build a...
Here's a couple I have saved on my hard drive, please excuse the giagantic pics, they're not all 1994 but have the same tagging:
1996 J.R. Phillips
1997 William VanLandingham
1994 William VanLandingham
1996 Jay Canizaro
1999 Ron Perranoski Turn Ahead the Clock Jersey
I have a ton of Giants jerseys from the mid to late '90's and none of them have a date tag anywhere on them, all of them look like the Braves one you have. All of my jerseys from that time period were bought directly from the Giants and all had a Dick Dobbins (huge collector and authenticator...
Let's also not forget that part of stolen bases is the pitchers ability to hold runners, if a runner gets a good jump on a pitcher then they'll steal the base, even against a catcher with the greatest cannon of all time. Posey has thrown out 30% of attempted steals, above the league average of...
To me the argument between Posey and Molina comes down to stats.
Offensively Molina leads Posey in SB 12 to 1 and in WAR 6.8 to 6.7 and defensively he catches more runners 46% to 30%.
Offensively Posey, in 35 less AB, has 13 more runs, 17 more hits, 10 more 2B, 1 more HR and 3B, 25 more RBI's...
So, as a player collector, would there be a desire to have this card in your collection if your player was the one with the MLB autenticated swatch? I mean the card is of another player, but the laundry patch is from a jersey worn by your player. It could be looked at as an error card.
Also is...
My wife and I went to Chicago a couple of years ago and we loved this place:
Frontera Grill 445 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60654, great Mexican food, http://www.rickbayless.com/restaurants/grill.html went in our Giants gear and everything, but it's not near the ballpark. Actually we didn't...
I have this CD some where it has songs about Mays, Aaron, Mantle, DiMaggio and others.

That would be my first assumption but you can tell from the photos in the auction that the cards have a different finish on each side. One side with a "gloss" and the other side with a "flat" finish, mimicking the finish of the 1990 Donruss regular issue cards.
These cards seem to come from the gap between the Aqueous test cards and the blue/white cards. Pat Sheridan is #367, Brian Downing #352, and Randy Johnson is #379. It seems that perhaps the whole set, all 700+ cards, were printed using various types of printing. Maybe the story that Donruss was...
A seller, one of the recent winners of the unopened Aqueous packs, has listed two cards that resemble the blue / white test cards but these cards are Red/Red. He claims to have pulled them from the unopened packs. Anyone ever hear of these...
No, I'm still waiting for the Clark prices to come back to Earth. I paid around $50 for the first couple of card. There are extremely few Thompson cards, not even certified auto's, that sell for more than $10.
I agree I think the new seller bought out another collection of these cards. Supposedly there where two stashes of these cards to get out, one lot to Chandy and another somewhere else. These unopened packs might be from the second set, or a completely new batch unknown in the past.
I agree that they are indeed rare, but two years ago I believed there were no more than 5 copies of any player, so I WAY overpaid for my first couple of Thompson cards. I'm curious to see if these packs contain cards from the entire Aqueous run or just cards from certain sheets. Most of my...
I don' think these cards are extremely rare, I own 9 Robby Thompson's, I lost out on one recently and there is one in the PSA population report, that makes 11 know Thompson's. I've also lost out on about 4 or 5 other Thompson's in the last couple of years, but I may own some of those now as they...
