Not a total failure and he has had a good season with the Rays. However, his stock really slipped during his time with the Sox and M's. Here's a few which I have scanned...
However, if/when they make the 40 man roster they receive the league minimum. That's the reason why you see so many AAAA players sticking around. Heck, Curtis Pride played AAA ball well into his late 30's while a member of the Angels' organization...not a bad career choice.
I didn't disagree with the choice of Carew, I said if I had to replace one...it would be him. Carew did great things while wearing the Halos uni and was an integral part of our success in the early 80's. Vlad was a monster for us in his prime but I am more than comfortable with our picks.
I loved Vladdy and he did great in his time here. However, I am sure 99% of Angels fans would go with Timmy on the monument. He was the face of the franchise for well over a decade and still is a part of the organization. This is going to piss Andrew off but if I were to replace anyone on the...
On the low end, I think Trout will be capable of putting up Johnny Damon or Jacoby Ellsbury type numbers. If he continues to develop, I could see him being a .300+ 20+ 90+ type player with a high OBP and plenty of XBH/SB.
Albeit a homer, I am not surprised in the least to see Trout walk away with the honor. The .958 OPS while playing half of his games at a very pitcher friendly park against competition 3-4 years older is quite impressive. Had he not been called up early out of necessity he could have easily hit...
Luis Jimenez 2-5 2b(40) 2 rbi(94). Despite a poor showing the last few weeks of the season he wound up hitting .290 18 94 w/ 40-2b and 15-sb. I would love to see him get a shot with the big club out of spring training but that may be a bit of a stretch.
Nm/Mt some color has rubbed off of the corners ::facepalm::
seriously though, a screw down damaged 1 card in my collection (2004 sp top prospects ryan/guerrero/trumbo triple auto)...took a little bit of the surface off of the back by where the screw was. needless to say, i now have a shoebox...
Thanks...it took a lot longer than I would have liked but it paid off in the end. I've missed out on a few PSA 9's over the years that went anywhere from $50-100.
I have always wanted to land Glaus' Leaf R&S RC for the PC but for whatever reason, it always seemed to elude me. Today, I was able to land this lot for $15.49 dlvd. The Leaf R&S is a SGC 96
Personally, I'd steer clear. Considering a PSA 6 Mantle recently sold for $16,500 a 6.5 has to be worth what....$20+? As someone said before, if it's too good to be true then it probably is.
