Dear Athlete,
Thanks for agreeing to sign all these cards for $8,000. We will send you that $8,000 check upon our receipt of these cards, signed by you, by the date of xx/xx/20xx. We look forward to adding your autographed cards to our products after that date.
Sincerely,
Topps CEO
Oh, that was pretty fun. My daughter got to go on the field for a dizzy bat race and got to keep the maple bat! She also had DJ Peters give her a PG baseball that she got ~20 guys to sign. I only got a couple cards signed (Toussaint personalized and the MVP!), but I did get 2 posters with all...
Absolutely! I don't have many pack pulled autographs in my collection. I prefer PSA/DNA slabbed autographed rookies. I only buy a box of Draft each year to have a variety of RCs to get signed. If the auto I pull is valuable I sell it (maybe to buy a nice IP/TTM PSA/DNA autographed RC for my...
I guess this is as close at it gets to $10 specials now: PSA/DNA Special.
I'm not as tempted to do this. I guess my stack of ~30-40 IP and TTM auto RCs will go uncertified for the foreseeable future. At least I'm not in a rush, but admittedly it would be cool to have them slabbed for my collection.
My friend called me with tickets to that game--great seats behind the Padres dugout. I couldn't go. Oh well. I was there for Bud Smith's no hitter! A Lincecum no hitter? Nah, it's all about Bud Smith! Now THAT was a no hitter. Am I right? Back me up, guys...
Ooooo, Lancaster would be nice. I get up to see the Lake Elsinore Storm a few times each year and add lots of autographs to my auto RC collection each time.
Yeah, let me know if you guys need anything. I'm only going to be keeping Rcs for IP auto purposes.

I'm going to grade all the Bagwell RCs... oh wait... then I'll grade all the Pudge Rodriguez RCs... oh... then I'll grade all the Chipper--nevermind. I still got a box of cards for $5!
Good idea. I helped run "The Box" years ago on the old BMB. I helped with the second go-round. It worked well up until the 2nd or 3rd to last person. The Box disappeared after that. Having cell numbers would be great.
For my collection, I will pay or do the ballpark/spring training/fanfest thing to get them free. I will definitely pay to get a star player to sign a RC for my collection if I have the money. I've sent in RCs to Ripken through his company because I'll probably never see him at a free event. I...
Wow, that is amazing.
I've been wondering if I should have taken the time to post a thrift store find that I made a few weeks ago (129 UD Biggio RCs and other stuff) but why bother? This find blows mine out of the water. Great stuff!
Just put in another sportlots order for cards to get signed at a Storm game later this month. It's just the most consistent, cheap site for RCs to get signed.
My collection has... 5 categories:
1) autographed rookie cards signed in person or TTM (certified by PSA/DNA)
2) autographed rookie cards signed in person or TTM (that I want to get certified by PSA/DNA if they ever have another $10 special)
3) autographed rookie cards signed in person or TTM...
Here is a picture of the Chipper Jones quad card for reference. The backs don't match the fronts. The condition is comparable to most of the ones I have--soft corners.
Sorry, no Frank Thomas. The biggest names seem to be on the back. For example, the players on the back include:
Randy Johnson (Willie Blair on the front)
Rickey Henderson (David Hollins on the front)
Gary Carter (Adam Hydzu on the front)
Edgar Martinez (Tim Layana on the front)
Don Mattingly...
Thanks again for your help yesterday, folks. In order to get more information, I've added the cards I found to a photobucket album:

Notice that they all lack blue ink on the back. I'm not sure that these are box...
