Got a relatively minor pickup today from 2002, the Fleer Mini /50. Really glad to have it though. It's just so damn satisfying to find that one last card you need to complete a run, right? Here's the lot of them:
Base
Gold Backs
Glossy /200
Mini /50
Yeah, I hear that. But I'm even worse. If I'd have seen the Mayne or Ayala I'd have bought one in a second. I just want to have one example to see what they look like.

Here's a somewhat obscure run from 2001, the Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Magic Numbers cards, each containing a piece of Alomar's sweet, sweet game used *pants*...
Wow, 15 months since anyone posted on this thread. No love for those poor super sweet early 00's inserts anymore?

It's nice to see some of these cards. I didn't realize they even existed since homeboy wasn't included in the checklist...
Back in the day, these inserts always reminded me of the 1991 Score Dream Team subset, but of course with an artists rendering instead of some staged photo. Equally inventive and cool.
But honestly, the Alomar from the Pro Visions set has never been a favorite. Angel wings?????????
Aw, I was hoping he was your great-great-great-great grandfather or something like that :-)
Here's a little something about him, with a blurb about the chicken.

Alright. I had to crack that card out of its stupid slab and rescan it. I don't know why I didn't do that in the first place. I pretty much hate grading and graded cards. So here is what that 1998 Pinnacle Plus Team Pinnacle Mirror card really looks like!
