I knew he was a coach with Vikings on some of those Super Bowl teams. I remember reading an article on ESPN when he sold a bunch of his collection at a garage sale at his home. I don't remember his HOF induction though.
I loved Donruss Studio. The background with the US flag looked so nice. The 2004 design with the background of the player's home stadium is another favorite design of mine.
Depends if Hall had MLB licensed cards printed years before. If he did, then I probably would not consider it a rookie. It makes no difference to me whether he ever played in the majors or not. If he had MLB licensed cards made, then it is a rookie card. I have no idea why some are so hung up on...
I'm glad this happened. He was always just another average pitcher who pitched to contact, and relies on his defense to make plays. I thought Cardinals overpayed when he was signed. Yeah, the return is not much. Now this opens up a spot for Flaherty or someone else.
Exactly. It's been that way ever since I grew up collecting. Even back in the '90s rookie cards were printed years before they were called up. I could not care less if a player has a rookie card years before he is called up. I don't get why some people are so hung up on that.
