A guy successfully ripped me off of $400 today via paypal. I sold him cards of Danny Espinosa on ebay when he was hot, he said he never received (now that he has cooled off of course), and got his money back (an likely the cards as well). That is it, i think I am done with cards all together...

It seems like these three teams have kind of separated themselves from the pack this year, so I was wondering which team you thought would be most dominant in the next five years.
Being a follower of the Saber-metric community and Bill James, I thought a post like this would be interesting. What current facet of the game does not currently have a means to evaluate it, and how could you make one?
Here is an example;
I my discussions of Albert Pujols/Ryan Howard, I found...
I appreciate all of you that made it fun for me. It was great while it lasted. The dishonesty of some people in the sports card world is unfathomable sometimes. I sell a card on ebay when a guy is hot, send the card promptly, the guy charges back (and i can't prove shipment because their is no...
Easy enough question. I am currently starting Matt Ryan and Matt Hasselback (with Josh Freeman on the bench), but I want to dump a RB and pick up another QB just in case someone goes down with injury. Who would you go with any why?
Here is my team right now:
QB: Matt Ryan
QB: Matt Hasselback
WR: Ausin Collie
WR: Steve Smith (CAR)
WR: Hakeem Nicks
WR: Roddy White
RB: Jahvid Best
RB: Rashard Mendenhall
RB: Jason Snelling
TE: Marcedes Lewis
TE: Brandon Pettigrew
Utility: Darren McFadden
Utility: Josh Freeman
Kicker: Garrett...
Zach Britton was supposed to be starting tonight in Norfolk, but Rick Vandenhurk is starting instead....Call up?
BTW he is also on the cover of MILB.com, weird.
Simon Castro and Alexander Colome are two highly touted minor league pitchers that each only have one major RC out: 2010 Bowman base. These cards have sold fairly well, especially as Castro broke out, but not to the extent I thought they would (Castro was a top 20 prospect in BA's midseason top...
His last 10 games:
.471 average, 16 H, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 8/10 BB/SO ratio, 1.288 OPS
He should make the hot sheet tomorrow, where do you see him among the other A prospects.
When healthy, he sports the potential for 3 plus offerings....Was great in 2009 after being out all of 2008 after Tommy John Surgery. Has been out for most of this year due to shoulder trouble, but a lot of that is due to the Tigers being wary about his arm.
As it stands now, Crosby has one...
Rashun Dixon.
He is a prospect I invested in heavily when his cards started coming out in 2008.
His 2008 season was hopeful.
His 2009 season was horrible.
And so far, his 2010 season has been mediocre at best.
He has the tools to be an elite prospect but has not been able to translate those...
Figured it was about that time to start looking at next year (at least for me, this is generally when I do my studying for Fall/Winter products), but I am having a hard time putting a list together. Would love to hear some suggestions. In terms of players, I think these are the obvious...
I sent a few cards to a buddy of mine a few months back (I believe it was card treasury, aka Mike) not expecting anything in return, but sure enough, he sen't me a few cards in response (great guy, great member). Three of them were hockey cards from the 1989-1990 O-Pee-Chee set, so I figured...
The 22 year old have bas been arguably the Rockies second best pitcher next to Jimenez, what they hell are they thinking screwing around with him like this? I am biased (as a Chacin fan/investor), but I just can't see HOW this can be viewed as a good idea...Jorge De La Rosa is supplanting him in...
Both are now 9-1 with sub 2.7 ERA's, both pitch in New York, and both are acclaimed pitching prospects from the past that have toiled in the majors for the past few years but both now seem to be turning into stars.
Saw this mentioned on another site: If the Rockies were to offer Ubaldo Jimenez right now, straight up, for Stephen Strasburg, should the Nationals take it?
